Wish they still made a white version, not a fan of the shiny colours.

DavidNguyen 08-02-2016 06:37 PM

you mentioned it doesnt include any bloatware. does that mean. it doesnt matter which carrier sim card yuou stick in first? iono

DavidNguyen 08-02-2016 06:39 PM

Surprised this is only $50 more than the S7edge. i thought it would be around $1200 outright. The extra memory alone is worth it.

Official Introduction

CP.AR 08-02-2016 09:05 PM

Still using a Note 3 (bought at launch)... I was hoping this would be the phone for me to finally upgrade to... but the price is a bit... steep

Anyone using a S7 or know of anyone using an S7 that knows what the effect on battery life the Always-On screen has? seems like it'll be a pretty big battery hog to me.

ae101 08-03-2016 12:26 AM

wait what about the note 6, what happened

inv4zn 08-03-2016 07:14 AM

They skipped it so the Note series would catch up the S series.

Also now they've released the "7's" first, ahead of Apple.

I have an S7 Edge and honestly couldnt tell a difference in battery life. I used it for a week without the AOD and im sure the AOD does use battery but not enough for me to notice. I gotta say since day 1 the battery on my S7 Edge is a beast!

I though they always release their Note ahead of Apple's iphone.

Same here bought note 3 at launch, and ya the is steep. Plus in the states they let u choose between a 256gb card or gear fit 2 and here its a portable speaker or gear fit 2 wtf. I only care for the card

I don't even use my AOD because for me it's pretty much pointless. It's just a clock more than anything. It doesn't display all notifications which is very annoying. I've got the standard S7 and its been a damn good phone, with wicked battery life. I get 4-5 hrs SOT consistently with about 17 or 18 hours out of a charge. If you'd like I can PM you a link to an unlocked international model for sale which is the one I'm using. It's great, there's no carrier bloatware!

sekin67835 08-03-2016 12:40 PM

Price is not steep when you compare it to the iPhone plus.

originalhypa 08-03-2016 06:21 PM

Agreed sekin.
When The new pricing structures came out after the new cell phone laws were announced, I was shocked. But consider the cost of the iPhone, HTC 10, and virtually all other top of the line phones, and this is priced right where it should be.

I miss $500 phones.
But I saw a video earlier of people using the note 7 under water. It has to be my next phone, just based on that.

One of my favorite feature of note 7 is the gif. Maker

hi-revs 08-04-2016 10:56 AM

Recently picked up a new anker battery for my note 4 because the oem battery couldn't hold a charge for most of the day. Now I'm good to go all day.
Because the note 7 has a built in battery, for this reason alone I'm going to pass on it.

MarkyMark 08-04-2016 11:22 AM

You'll be passing on pretty much every future phone then because that's the norm now.

FerrariEnzo 08-04-2016 12:08 PM

So its just an S7 with the SPen... lol

Pretty much, plus a couple of new features that will make their way to the S8 next year. It's pretty evident that the S series is their bread and butter, which will now see the more significant upgrades as far as specs go.

Mr.Money 08-04-2016 03:22 PM

pre-order from bestbuy, get a wireless charge stand,128gb evo microsd card 220 value Samsung Phones & Smartphones - Best Buy Canada

not the greatest deal,$560 on 2 year contract from all major wireless companies,i like buying it out,and most likely wait till early 2017 to see what comes out.

difference from an s7 edge; 100mah smaller battery, .2 larger screen, spen, iris scanner, usb type c, 32gb more internal.

no significant hardware improvements, not like before where note would get more ram or newer processor. kind of a letdown imo

LOL I was being exaggerated...

Cwift 08-05-2016 05:18 PM

for rogers people, if you pre order you get the speaker/watch deal as well as a 64gb sd card while supplies last

asian_XL 08-05-2016 07:56 PM

nothing revolutionary for Note 7, and no 6gb/128gb version anywhere but China. I will keep the G4 and skip this year.
