with pre-orders nowadays that's not going to be as big of an issue especially if it's launching in the spring and not holiday season |
You guys are talking like $400 CAD is an acceptable price :fuckthatshit: |

But you're right, $400 is pretty rough in the pocket when compared to other consoles. The XBOX One S was $300 and the PS4 was $330 during Black Friday. |
Wii U was a total failure. I don't like thinking in CAD, but this is a Canadian site so I used that. Using USD $300 is still very high for a 720P console, even if it has portability. 2.5 hour battery life really limits that portability, and there are maybe 2 good looking games for it. After that, how many will there be? Enough to justify a $300 console? Maybe if you already have one of the other consoles, but even then. $300 man that's crazy |
i dont think Nintendo has been about value for hardware specs for a while now if this had better battery life and the latest nvidia GPU I think it could replace DS...but from the looks of it'll only do slightly better than Wii U and might just be Nintendo's last home console. The 30+ demographic can only play Mario and Zelda so many times and the nostalgia will run out. Most kids would rather play Madden and Call of Duty on a Microsoft/Sony. will Zelda run better on Switch docked vs Wii U? |
I'm really hoping for the day Nintendo just admits defeat in the home console market and just starts making games for the PlayStation and Xbox lol. I'm so tired of having to buy their system to play like 5 games every generation. I would imagine a Mario platformer and Zelda game would sell extremely well on the PlayStation. |
so no one here scored there pre-order?...one decent game on launch ....Zelda...and also releasing on Wii U... i might just wait till a mario game comes then buy it.... |
Woke up half-awake at 5:50, said fuck it, and went back to bed. |
Just got a pre order from bestbuy.ca Nintendo Switch Console with Grey Joy-Con : Nintendo Switch Consoles - Best Buy Canada Now I wonder what I will be able to get first the Switch or the NES Classic mini. Edit: Just pre ordered the Neon version from Amazon. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01...A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB |
Still pre-order stock at Best Buy. When I saw the final price in the cart, $450 (no games!), I closed the window. I'll wait for a price drop. |

The Switch charges by USB C so you will be able to use the same external battery pack that you use to charge your phone. So battery life should not be a problem. |
In 20 years when they release the retro version, y'all gonna be like OMG must have. :mamoru: |
You'll need a pretty big external battery pack to power that thing for a couple hours, kinda takes the whole portability aspect away when you're hauling extra gear to keep it juiced up. |
I'm tempted to get the switch since it's way better for playing games compared to my cell when taking a shit. |

damn it, i missed the pre - order :( |

It'll be a good choice for guys like Murdoc because there will be just enough power for you to take a shit before it needs to be charged again. |

wouldn't worry about not getting the pre-order....in-store stock on march 3 might be massive,if nintendo didn't learn from the nes classic of selling out for months they would be smart to sell sell sell. if you already own a wii u and the new zelda game is coming out,$450 for one game alone is a little crazy....so many kids out there dont even care about mario anymore since wii u was a flop..its all about call of duty and bf 1 now. |

Remember, the Statue of Liberty, one of the most renown landmark monuments in he world was once portrayed to be controlled by an NES advantage. Nintendo ruled the fuckin' world. Nintendo is controlling the world #CiC4prez #tinfoilhat |
