This was a few days ago but anyways it was the south surrey Walmart

By the time. I got there, only 2 were left or else I would have shared this information

Don't bother calling bestbuy, they are usless and don't answer the phones. Eb games always tries to give u a heads up on locations and stock but at the time Walmart had it.

That being said, huge thanks to Eb and Walmart customer service. Bestbuy Coquitlam specifically can go fck itself

Button configuration has been one of the few common complaints about BOTW. A new patch just got released to fix the framerate issues.

Controls are almost everything to me. They almost matter more than story and graphics Imo. Dosnt matter how good the rest of the game is if you can't play it. I found this true of the last of us also. Such an amazing game but I was often to frusterated with the controls to appreciate the rest

some guy claims his unit was denatured from poor heat dissipation while docked...others are echoing the same problem.

Nintendo it's a tiny little mobile chip...what a disaster of a hardware, hope it's somewhat isolated :awwyeah: since I do wanna play BoTW at some point.

dub.g 04-03-2017 12:49 PM

^technobuffalo reported the same thing...

said they didnt realize the console warped until they lay it flat on the table

twitchyzero 04-03-2017 01:22 PM

it's only been a few weeks...hope that won't bend anymore after a year of usage!

glad I didn't pay $400 for one (or the $600+ scalper rate)

Mine since launch is ok. Although I think I have that crack near the left screw that everyone is talking about.

You should loosen that screw, but it's a weird 3 prong screw

european 04-07-2017 02:52 PM

Dang... I got a crack

You guys are all making me nervous. Just checked and everything is fine, so far

SaviorSelf_666 04-07-2017 04:42 PM

I leave mine docked 90% of the time. No issues with mine so far. Knock on wood.

european 04-07-2017 05:47 PM

I took so much precaution and still ended up with that crack. I play handheld sometimes but mainly docked via a USB-C extension cable so the dock doesn't scratch the tablet. I'm so delicate with this console too. Luck of the draw I guess. Might report this to Nintendo to see if they can replace it under warranty.

twitchyzero 04-07-2017 06:03 PM

so the crack wasn't present brand new but developed after few weeks?

you think the housing is weak or the screw was just overtorqued at foxconn's assembly line?

bummer...send it back. Make noise on Nintendo's social media if they dont want to deal with it.

european 04-08-2017 04:09 PM

Yea it wasn't there before. I was reading online about some people complaining about there being a crack on the back plate, I immediately get up to check my Switch and there it was. I haven't done much about it yet. I tweeted the photo to a bunch of Nintendo outlets but that didn't do anything. I'll contact Nintendo and see what they have to say.

ForbiddenX 04-18-2017 11:17 AM

Not sure how fast Canadian Nintendo Switch Pre-order & In Stock Tracker - NowInStock.net updates but seemed to stick around for 25 minutes.

extracrunchie 04-18-2017 12:09 PM

I wonder if Nintendo is going to ask their testers "if their test units bends" lol...............I would laugh so hard if they do that, same as the screen scratching.

terkan 04-22-2017 11:14 PM

anyone's joycon controller doesn't lock to the console? mine u can hear the click but if i just try to push it the controller just comes right off without pushing that hard =/

Razor Ramon HG 04-23-2017 09:26 PM

Rumour of FFVII for Switch

twitchyzero 04-26-2017 08:05 PM

twitter rumour of a secondary source

but we know Switch supports Unreal 4 so this is very likely even if it's 1 year after PS4 version (so 2019 or later)...albeit at what resolution?

Not much of a rumor.. It wouldn't make sense for any easily compatible game not to be ported to Switch.

Expect every single Unreal and Unity based games to be on switch, prices ranging from $60 to $0.99

Mr.Money 04-26-2017 11:59 PM

nintendo say anything about the crack or bending of the console yet?...nothing?...heh.

ForbiddenX 04-27-2017 07:51 AM

That's kind of why I'm still on the fence of opening my Switch up :( Not sure if I just want to wait until all of these issues are sorted because I'll most likely be buying the next iteration anyways.

But really want to play Breath of the Wild and MK8D Y_Y

Mkhun 04-28-2017 08:02 AM

Walmart @Coquitlam Centre had 6 when I was there last night around 10pm.(27th) if anyone is still looking for one.
