picked one up the bestbuy on granville and robson around 4. ezpz

Apparently no one knows when stock is coming in, and when they do it's random so it's all luck if you walk in store and get one, or calling in at random times asking if any stock has arrived.

You might need a Quick Charge compatible charger?

Quick charge will not work because the switch does not use the Qualcomm Quick charge chip. Have you tried charging while playing?

Cwift 03-14-2017 01:10 PM

Which BestBuy did you go to?

In Asia regions X is back and O is forward (and the corresponding buttons on Xbox). Not sure about EU

Got my NTAGs today for the Amiibos.

Works perfectly!

EDIT: Gonna print off designs from here, stick the tag behind it, and put the print in a card sleeve like these ones used for Magic the Gathering.

So I did some battery pack testing. the battery pack I used was this:https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's the largest battery pack you can carry on a plane.

While playing BOTW it took a 80 minutes to charge the battery 10%. If you want faster charging you are going to need to buy a battery pack designed to charge a laptop over USB C.

I've been using a cheapo Aukey power bank. Charges the Switch very slowly, but as long as I can get several hours of battery out of it while I'm on a plane then it's perfect.

System is pretty stupid, can't link saved games or backup saved games. Same goes with games bought in e-shop it is console tied so if you lose your system your SOL

Was the same way with the 3DS. eshop purchases had to be system transferred.

Does PS4 or XBO have cloud saves?

I have the itch, considering driving around tomorrow to try and find one.. What are your guys opinions on it. I'm trying to convince myself to hold off until a 2nd gen or perhaps updates and a larger game library

Don't bother trying, they're sold out everywhere around the lower mainland. Honestly I'd just wait a bit, the only game out at the moment is Zelda, and if you're dying to play it I guess it's worth to get it, otherwise might as well just wait for more flagships to come out.

^^ semi related, but can you do the same thing with skylanders? or are those some sort of different protection?

You can pretty much do it for any kind of amiibo.

Once the information is written to the tag, it's basically the same as a real life amiibo except you can't write to it to store save information and stuff like that.

EDIT: I am wrong, seems like you can even write to it like a normal amiibo, but only the parts meant to be user-writable.

^^^
Button configuration has been one of the few common complaints about BOTW. A new patch just got released to fix the framerate issues.
