We're getting him, too.

According to Bob Mac, it sounds like we're getting Nilsson, Gagner, and Del Zotto.

highfive 06-30-2017 06:03 PM

Del zotto and gagner would be great trade deadline ufas!

Except it sounds like there may be term involved ...

Yeah, cause non-rental players have never been traded at the trade deadline.

highfive 06-30-2017 06:31 PM

Term is fine. Trade them in a few years. We have the Sedins to trade at the deadline this coming season and sign them back in the offseason. Gagner can take up the 2nd centre spot behind bo afterwards.

I can only dream and we get all the prospects and picks

dbaz 06-30-2017 09:29 PM

Ganger 3years. Del Zotto and the g. 2years

And the sedins won't get traded

highfive 06-30-2017 09:41 PM

Prob not. Dim Jim wants to make the playoffs.

Other news, Sharp misses Duncan Keith's wife and probably going back to Chicago. lol

Mike Oxbig 06-30-2017 11:04 PM

Goldobin Burmistrov Yakupov

murd0c 06-30-2017 11:12 PM

Are we actually getting yak as well? Damm had no clue Benning was going to dovthis much. I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing right now lol

Can't be worse than icing the team we had last year.

Mike Oxbig 06-30-2017 11:40 PM

I have a feeling Yakupov will go montreal to replace radulov and play with galchenyuk.

Why is Galchenyuk the key to the Canadiens’ interest in Yakupov? To answer that question, it’s important to remember where both players came from before being drafted first overall (Yakupov) and third overall (Galchenyuk) in 2012. Playing together in the OHL with the Sarnia Sting, the duo of Galchenyuk and Yakupov was a force to be reckoned with. During the 2010-11 season, Galcheyuk scored 31 goals and 83 points in 68 games – a point total good for third in the OHL among rookies that season, behind only Sven Baertschi and Yakupov, his linemate with the Sting. In 65 games in that very same season, while flanking Galchenyuk in Sarnia, Yakupov scored 49 goals and 101 points and proved to be a true game-changer. Reuniting the two at the NHL level could prove to be a smart move to try and rejuvenate both players moving forward.

murd0c 06-30-2017 11:44 PM

that does make total sense after reading that

dbaz 07-01-2017 05:50 AM

Not total sense cuz Sven baertschi didn't play in the ohl

Panthers' Demers nixes trade to Canucks - Article - TSN

6o4__boi 07-01-2017 07:43 AM

These...aren't bad deals. Jimbo is learning guys.

Devastator 07-01-2017 07:43 AM

Thank god Demers nixes the trade, I wouldn't want his 9 goals and 19 assists last season with him making 4.5 mill. But it looks like we were planning to take on a bad contract with something else coming back or at least I hope it was.

murd0c 07-01-2017 07:52 AM

Gagner for 3mill a season would be very nice and even better with Del zotto if he's making the same.

68style 07-01-2017 07:59 AM

Guys... I'm worried... where is Megna going to play with all these forward signings?

dbaz 07-01-2017 08:24 AM

What I'm liking is it forces some younger guys to start in the AHL, instead of having huge expectations. Also gives Utica a chance.
Is Sutter on his way out? C depth is Hank, bo, Gagner, Sutter, gaunce, burmistrov

68style 07-01-2017 08:48 AM

^ Sutter has a NTC through his whole contract... modified one for the last 2 years... but I doubt he's going anywhere... I'd say Gaunce is done here, poor guy, I actually think he could be really good if given a chance.

murd0c 07-01-2017 09:02 AM

Yup Gagner signed 3 years 3.15 a year which is pretty reasonable
