I'm still jealous of Toronto getting Liljegren for such a steal

syee 07-06-2017 11:35 AM

If anyone wants to go out to check out the Canucks prospects game tonight, shoot me a PM. I've got a pair of tickets. Decided not to go since I'm on call for work. You get to watch the game and I believe there's some free food if anyone is interested.

murd0c 07-06-2017 04:45 PM

so is there a streaming link for the game?

Ch28 07-06-2017 05:05 PM

They're showing a Johnny Canuck promo before the game starts, so why do they still use that stupid orca whale?!

murd0c 07-06-2017 05:14 PM

I have a feeling they are waiting for the 50th anniversary to change the jersey maybe? Sedins will be gone and it will be a new look of players

Infiniti 07-06-2017 07:31 PM

Vancouver Canucks lean on analytics to draft pint-sized Petrus Palmu | The Province

good read...guy does look pretty jacked

How strong is he?

“I’m strong, I can tell you that,” he said. “That’s why I’m here. I can play a hard game, battle hard.

“When I was young, my dad told me I was going to be a short player and said I had to be faster and stronger than the other guys. I can squat a lot. I do one-legged squats. I can do 100 kg squats on one leg.”
fuckin beastly

For years, perception has been the Canucks use data like Alain Vigneault used Keith Ballard — as little as humanly possible.

This past draft, however, the Canucks set aside their affinity for big players who are difficult to play against, and focused on skilled players with big data instead.

Too bad they didn't apply the same logic in the 2014 draft when they took Mackenze Stewart instead of Joe Hicketts.

dbaz 07-08-2017 09:07 AM

Roland Melanson joins NJ. There's goes our goaltendjng

Nabatron 07-08-2017 09:46 AM

And led all Grand Rapids dmen in scoring in the regular season and the playoffs en route to a Calder Cup as an AHL rookie.

Stewart played a full season in Alaska last year, but with Alaska gone and 31 organizations splitting 27 ECHL teams, it may be tough for him to find a regular spot next season.

Devastator 07-08-2017 01:08 PM

Rolly Melanson hasn't really been around anyways for the past 2 years. He spent most of his time in the east with famuly. So really it makes no difference. Linden gave permission to NJ to hire him. Rolly has done lots for this organization and it's only fair to him to go be with his family and be able to work closer.

Jmac 07-08-2017 01:54 PM

He was working part-time in Utica last season, but he's wasted at the AHL level and wants to be in the East.

At least we have Cloutier
