From where in the article are you interpreting that from? Cuz I certainly can't see anything that even remotely suggest that.

If anything, the 1st degree murder charge might be more indicative on what might have happened.

Where does it say anything about his personal beliefs? We won't know anything until the trial starts, if even.

Have to share this story as it really couldn’t have worked out more perfect..

So with my job I go into peoples homes all day for service work. Today I went to a housing coop in Burnaby.

My first customer was an older native woman, as soon as I saw her I know the type of person. Unkept, missing a few teeth, dressed like she wasn’t going out today. Go to her apartment, it’s as I expect. Cluttered with garbage, hasn’t been vacuumed in months, she has her spot she sits and smokes and is already clearly getting assistance via the coop on top of whatever else.

Later that day, actually back to back, in the same building I had another appointment with a man who turned out to be a refugee from Syria, allepo specifically. He had been a lawyer there *apperently but I have no reason to doubt him. He lived with at least one child and a wife I believe.

He spoke great English with complete comprehension, he was engaging and personable, and took an interest in my work. He cared to learn and see how things were put together (honestly maybe one of the only people to take this care)

He offered me tea clearly as a “welcoming gesture” and apologized more than once for not having a coffee table and more furnishings. His apartment was clean and organized and not one I don’t take my boots off for. He thanked me as I left and i welcomed him to call me if he need assistance

Edit* oh and the kicker of it all, and I was literally thinking of this thread as this was transpiring, he acknowledged that the the govt was providing this for him..(not that he had to by any means)
