Don't we all... Haha I wish I can just flip a switch and demand more for the work I do, but unfortunately that's not how it works... 😔

westopher 01-14-2023 09:21 PM

Yeah unfortunately us common scum aren't able to price fix or lobby as easily.

Guess Gas Wizard was right. Saw it this morning on the way to work. Shell on 12th and Clark was packed yesterday evening as I drove by.

Pick an excuse:

Refinery issue
Supply and demand
Ukraine
The gas companies are changing the "blends" cause it's getting warmer
Carbon taxes/Trudeau
OPEC said some shit
California storms
Lisa Marie Presley just died

Any random excuse seems to satiate us idiots here in Vancouver who put up with this crap.

I need to run my math again to see at what price point (for gas) that the TM3 RWD would make sense in over a short enough duration...

Right now, it is not particularly convincing at $2/L at 10+ years LOL~

dark0821 01-15-2023 02:08 PM

^TM3 RWD is not there to save you $$$$

Hence why I am now 55K financially worse compared to last week.

Badhobz 01-15-2023 02:32 PM

It’s also 0-60 in 5.3 seconds on the base model. Not only are you just paying ratrolla prices. You’ll pretty much destroy everything else on the road.

Value proposition isn’t half bad for the price.

JDMDreams 01-15-2023 05:33 PM

Pr Speedway 87 is $1.029 92 is $1.429 today :notbad:

0-60 in 5.3 for 2021 and older Model 3 Sr+(RWD) with NCA battery

0-60 in 5.8 for 2022 and newer Model 3 RWD with LFP battery which weighs 275lbs more than NCA battery.

Badhobz 01-15-2023 06:33 PM

:notbad:
Still not bad

danned 01-15-2023 09:38 PM

pick an excuse

mikemhg making an excuse...

twitchyzero 01-16-2023 08:15 AM

europe and india's biggest supplier at war for almost a year?

im curious to know how it almost dipped under 1.50$ few mos ago

westopher 01-16-2023 08:33 AM

Somehow oil companies are making record profits so doesn't seem like the supply issue from the war is preventing necessary supply from getting to market. If that was the case we'd see massive price spikes as well as huge shortages instead of "well we need to charge you more cause one day we might be short"

twitchyzero 01-16-2023 05:13 PM

id be curious to know the true economics of it

they have to supply extra elsewhere due to the void from russia's absence = surge/demand pricing?

Traum 01-20-2023 08:52 AM

Yay to $2.65/L by the summer, which probably means it'll be $3+/L for the 93/94 octane gas that I use... FailFish

why don't we start charging EV purchases a surplus for the infrastructure upgrades and charging lots we're going to need?

donk. 01-20-2023 09:39 PM

Because BC wants to be carbon free by 20XX dawg

Did we charge extra for roads to be built for gas cars? Horses did not need paved roads.

westopher 01-21-2023 04:59 AM

I mean, kinda, yeah, because to run those cars you pay taxes on fuel, and purchase price.
