um............. coffee is good for you.

Sugar and cream, not so much.

There are some bad things in coffee, but the good outweigh the bad. SO, hipsters will outlive us all, lol.

Coffee make my bowels happy........ I drink that shit everyday in the morning. Just one small cup a day works for me. IN fact, I make the coffee in the morning, take a sip, let it cool down, then stick it in the fridge, and take a few sips throughout the day. I love cold coffee.

Not reading CiC posts adds 2 years to your life.

Didn't have to read the OP to know that.

Honestly, some things just can't be explained, either you are healthy or unhealthy.

E.g. My grandpa passed away last year at 95 yrs old. He ate whatever the fuck he wanted all the way til 89 at home with my parents til he got transferred to a care home. Even the day til he passed away, no wheel chair, no mobility issues, did everything himself, he passed away from old age due to organ failure.

Then there is my mom, ate healthy shit and constantly sick. So what gives? Her family doesn't have history of health issues.

That's not to say we just go eat whatever the fuck we want and we'll be 95 years old. Every one is different and my perspective is that as long as you balance out lifestyle, hope for the best.

I apologize if I was shitting on your thread earlier, Charles. Just I see so many people focus, disproportionately, on intake over outtake.
That being said, I don't think hard work, at a healthy level, receives the credit it should. Producing can be very therapeutic.
Also, a partner that you know and love (really love) and loves you back. Very important

Actually my grandma was the same. She passed in her 40's from Lung Cancer never smoked a day in her life, was eating organic all the time growing her own vegetables, didn't drink ect...... Meanwhile my parents have been chain smoking since before I was born and will likely both see 70+

You can do things that will change the odds a bit but sometimes double zeros comes up and there ain't shit you can do about it.

Sorry, what I meant was she seems to worry about it. Maybe too much? He seems more carefree.
Might have something to do with it.
Who knows.

I still look young, and am in pretty good shape. But in the last decade I've had three major situations that caused a high level of stress and all three times I got older. Less hair, poor health, the body is unable to repair itself... sadness, lethargy, anger. That is what takes a huge toll.

Also, drugs and alcohol are bad.
If I go on a drinking binge now, it takes twice as long in the gym to recover. Here's to working hard just to keep what you have.

It's genetics + luck.

On my mother's side, grandfather died at 84. Smoked and drank right up until he had a stroke. My grandmother passed away in January at 103.

On my dad's side, grandfather passed last year at 90. Grandmother is still alive at 89. They live in Oakland California and fully subscribed to the American lifestyle since they left China 50 years ago. They ate fast food and packaged foods almost daily for the convenience. Comparing photos of them in China and in America, they looked a lot more healthier after they came to America.

I'm not going to try to extend my life. Looking at my own grandparents, I don't think it's worth it.

1. They were lonely, they outlived all their friends by 10+ years.
2. My grandmother that lived to 103 spent the last 7 years in a bed.
3. The burden placed on the rest of the family. My parents retired maybe
8 years ago. They didn't get to enjoy their retirement until recently when
my grandmother finally passed away. They were visiting the hospital 2-3
times a week for the past 10 years. They couldn't really do any
travelling. Now that they're free to travel, they're getting into their 70's
now and mobility is becoming a problem for them.

Not for me, when I'm ready to go, I'm cashing in everything for a one way ticket into space. Or if it's possible at the time, I'll live in San Junipero.

^the whole I don’t want live long is kind of bullshit. My father in law is 77 and still runs 10k a day. everyday. I’m serious. So what if his life from 85-100 is lame ass. He still stayed in better shape and could do more for the previous 40 years then people half his age.

My Grandpa is 88 and is the oldest person in his lawnbowling club. By a long shot, and still kicks their asses. His mind is strong, and his body isn’t doing badly either. Wakes up and hangs out with the younger generation from his industry every morning for coffee.

My other Grandpa was also doing really well until a few years ago when his eyes got so bad he became seditary. He was downhill skiing until his eyes just got too bad. Ever since he stopped he’s aged a huge amount.

That's why I said when I'm ready to go. It's relative to the time we live in, healthcare advances, etc...

I just don't want life to drag on when there's nothing left for me.

this chart makes one think how short life is... I fill one of these monthly circles at the end of the month. This one is filled to 30, but check the other links for other versions.

People are born into a system of servitude and one of the biggest factors is wasting ones life paying into shelter. This is why I encourage living in a van.

Coffee is good to a certain extent, but if you overdo it you'll basically have constant high blood pressure, which in the long run is really bad.

Coffee definitely good, but keep it down to 2 cups a day if possible, maybe 3 if you can keep your heart healthy in other ways (lots of cardio)

Basically we should all keep an eye on our BP and adjust things accordingly to keep it in range.

My Grandpa and Grandma are 80 this year. I'm lucky to have had them around for so long. They still travel the world, eat well, golf everyday (my grandpa actually still works as a marshall at a golf course.)
He had a heart attack 10 years ago. A very high stress job (that he retired from), smoked until he was 55. It was a big eye opener. He stopped drinking as he thought that was a big part of it. I believe he was right. I'm not there yet, but I'd like to slow down with it.
I think the greatest attribute to their health, that I see is how they stay busy, without overdoing it. They love to be active, and they are just plain happy. My Mother is 52, and she has gotten into the active lifestyle in the last few years and its done wonders for her health as well, because she is happier.
I'm rambling, but the point is, mental health is so tied to physical health. Do what makes you happy, and try to remove yourself from the stress that you deem too much to handle.

Drinking is so bad for you; you don't realize how much until you take a break for a while. If you drink regularly, everything just feels better after a while. It's fine in moderation of course, no need to be completely sober and boring

Women usually tuck the penis inbetween the buttcheeks for an interview though I thought?
