I CAN'T wait for this to play out.

Being a loser sucks, and Hilary took it hard and had to suck it up as it was looking so good for her. SO yeah... you cry about it for one day, and you're done.

Now Trump has to ENDURE the LONG ASS pain every single day right now (dodging questions, short press releases), just trying to hang on.... his team must be devastated, his daughter, son in laws all hiding.... Knowing your leader / dad lost but can't comprehend whether to suck it up but yet you have to cheer and say "there's still a chance".

Reminds me of 1 minute left to a basketball game and you still got 8 points and the other team has the ball.

westopher 11-06-2020 08:19 AM

Imagine also being down by 8 points, and demanding the game be stopped and declaring yourself the winner.

Trump faces a mountain of legal trouble after losing this election:

What Cheeto should do to save himself from criminal investigation is to resign as POTUS. Then Pence becomes the President so that Mikey can pardon him for any crimes and misdemeanours.

As a sports analogy, Cheeto should retire from life as a "pro athlete", take his undeserved money from his four contract and leave the White House. EleGiggle

Joe has been with planning with his team for months in anticipation of Trump's lawsuits. It also helps that Biden and Mitch McConnell have a lengthy working relationship. That is bad news for Trump when Mitch would be willing to negotiate with Biden in terms of Biden's selection of people for his cabinet.

-from the article:

The Biden campaign took note of President Donald Trump's dire tone in the White House on Thursday night and began a plan that is underway today to get his old allies in the Senate -- and others from a lifetime in public life -- to speak to the legitimacy of the election.

His campaign also made clear that a Trump concession is not necessary. "The American people will decide this election. And the United States government is perfectly capable of escorting trespassers out of the White House," Biden campaign spokesman Andrew Bates said in a statement Friday morning.
Biden does not plan to wait for any of Trump's legal challenges to be settled, a person familiar with the plan said, and intends to immediately shift into mode of President-elect to avoid ceding any momentum.

The Biden transition team has been working behind-the-scenes for months -- as required of all candidates seeking the presidency -- but the urgency of the plan is being seen by Biden advisers as even more importance in the wake of Trump's questioning the legitimacy of the election.

One of the most important conversations Biden will have is with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky.

The two men have not spoken yet -- a Biden aide said that would be premature; a McConnell adviser said it hasn't happened -- but they expect that call to be made later Friday.

The Kentucky Republican will play a key role in approving members of the Biden Cabinet if Republicans continue to hold their majority -- which even Democrats concede is likely, with party control potentially hinging on two January 5 runoffs for Senate seats in Georgia.

Biden and McConnell have a long relationship, serving together in the Senate for decades, but also working closely and cutting deals during former President Barack Obama's administration

I think that would make matters much much more volatile than they already are

It's looking like Biden has it, what a relief.

You're in a dream world if you think Trump is going to be charged with any crimes post presidency :lol

If Nixon could get pardoned by the incoming president for all his actual crimes, Trump won't be touched. You'll see some settlements outside of court that will be quietly handled, but he'll never see any actual jail time.

One thing I am curious to see how it plays out, is what happens to the far right Trump supporters.

I listened to a podcast that said Trump is a RESULT, and not the cause, of the underlying frustration of this white male republican base, and that the sentiment had been brewing underground for years.

It could get even more chaotic before it gets any better even with Trump gone.

I noticed that throughout this entire process I've only heard two complaints about Bidens actual work and they were only briefly mentioned. One was a bill he apparently worked on 26 years ago and the other is a tax increase on people making 400k+. Other than that, not a peep about his actual platform or recent work.

Of course I could just be looking in the wrong places and missing it. It just seems strange because with Canadian politics most people are at least having a beef with actual parts of the platform.

What? where did he go? I'm assuming he'll be sticking around until Biden takes office in January.

It also surprises me how many Trump syncopaths working in the White House are late-20s to mid-30s. I guess it shows you if you get 'em young you can mold them to whatever twisted agenda you have if you promise them power and riches.

I wonder why CNN and others have yet to call it... Pretty much 80% of the incoming votes in PA and GA are for Biden, which is why the sources I posted before going to sleep called it.

How much of it has to do with avoiding backlash from trumptards?

To be clear, as pointed out, not all of the 69 million people who voted for Trump are trumptards. I'd argue that most of them are to some degree. There are plenty of Republican voters who don't think past whatever perceptions they have, especially the wealthy white voters who care about nothing other than collecting more wealth, to hell with everyone else. Those people generally aren't trumptards, but they certainly empower them.

Edit: Saw this tweet right after I wrote this post, seemed appropriate

There's outstanding provisional ballots, networks are been overly cautious but my theory is they're waiting until Biden is ready to go and they'll drop their projections plus the more nail biting, more viewers.

GA now looks like it's heading towards Biden so if GA goes, it's basically over.

Police in Philadelphia evacuated a shopping mall in the Pennsylvania city over a bomb threat on Friday.

The Philadelphia Police Department confirmed to The Hill they investigated the threat and conducted a sweep with K-9 units but did not find any explosive device.

Authorities said two calls alleging that a bomb was going to go off in the mall were made from the same individual to mall security. Police finished their sweep of the mall by 3 p.m.

Also from same article:

In a separate incident, Philadelphia police arrested two men Thursday night on firearms charges after they were discovered carrying weapons without valid state permits near the convention center. No one was harmed in the incident.

The men could have ties to the conspiracy theory group QAnon. An Inquirer photographer, Jessica Griffin, took photos of the vehicle the men were traveling in, which had a QAnon decal on the back window and a hat with the QAnon insignia on the dashboard.

It's kind of hard to say... On one hand, they clearly were setting up for this, trying to mess with USPS, hinting at mail voting being a fraud from the very beginning.

You could see a conspiracy where they would have this in their back pocket to bring up if they ended up losing.

But Trump and his people are literally idiots, so it's possible that they just don't realize how simple it is to explain...
