Hillary Clinton took almost a week to give her concession speech. democrats then spent over three years attempting to delegitimize his victory with a fake Russia conspiracy. When that didn't work they attempted to impeach him. Sounds like the ones to worry about are democrats. |
I don’t know how you can’t feel tired and old even typing that post |

History lesson: The country of Liberia was a nation created in Africa to re-settle slaves who had left America. It was meant to be a place for free persons of colour outside of the administrative oppression of slavery, and later the Reconstruction & Jim Crow eras in the US. The capital is called Monrovia, named after James Monroe who supported the country's creation and provided support to it. Its flag looks like the US flag, with a single star in the blue bit instead of a bunch of stars. Basically, Liberia is USA-lite. Its the African edition of USA. Why am I talking about this? In the 1920s, Liberia had an election where the incumbent president received 90+% of the vote. It turns out that 250,000 people voted for him... when only 15,000 were registered to vote. The USA has come full circle. They inspired republics across the globe who grasped the concept of a democratic process so poorly that they had obviously rigged elections. And now the USA is trying to do the same. |
Gameday. Four years of bantering and bickering comes down to this. Let's hope we see a Biden 1.0 thread in RS and not a Trump 3.0 one. |

But did they count every last vote in every state before calling it? |
If they don’t count them how can they give statistics of who won the popular vote? |

This is how desperate trump is. trump doesn't even know who the person is. He calls him little pimp. |
So back in the day when voting was done by White Christian Men™ you would see a group of people gather in a town hall or other such gathering place and they would poll there. Voting wasn't necessarily anonymous and often times it was the majority rule in your polling place. They would collect that town's "votes" and send it to whatever oversight authority they had back in the day. Part of this ties into the electoral college (but is not the REASON for the electoral college) because they were able to collect the data regionally and were usually trusted enough not to fuck with the data/details on voting. And it would take literally months to bring the information up from the south or the undeveloped areas out west before the rail network was established. Its PART of the reason they inaugurate the President MONTHS after the election. Hell, they used to inaugurate the President in March and not January because of the difficulty of communication and travel. To answer your question directly, welfare; Yes. Yes they did/do. The Florida 2000 "hanging chad" election is the one in recent memory that required more intense vote counting. Since then we've seen digital systems come in which make counting the majority of the votes on election night easy, which is why people seem to think the election HAS to be called election night. That, and George W. Bush declared himself "President-Elect" on election night even before the votes had been tallied. I wouldn't be surprised to see Trump call the election for himself and some nasty legal fights to ensue in places like Pennsylvania, Florida, and possibly even Texas. |
This may be the highest voter turn out election if the stats are correct. High numbers of people turning out? |
The amount of people turning out is certainly bigly. The election has polarized people and a lot of this has to do with the messaging surrounding the 2016 election. People are essentially being "shamed" for not having voted because of what the polls said regarding Hilary's lead against Trump. This time people aren't leaving things to chance and they're getting out there. There are reports of robocalls in Michigan encouraging people to stay home and vote tomorrow due to long lines at the polls. The FBI is investigating this because this lazy ass voter suppression is very illegal. I also watched a video of someone being turned away in spite of turning up on time for early voting in NYC, which is also a problem. In this situation this person should have been given a receipt and an absentee ballot. Even when polls close locally, if you are in line you are allowed to vote. Even if you cast your ballot after midnight, you can vote. Just as long as you are in line on time. |
Haha geez even if I knew nothing, I would vote the opposite of whoever someone like Lil Pump said to vote for :fuckthatshit: |
