Witness at event says there were no security measures to enter event
From CNN's Taylor Romine
Raydon Dechene, who attended Charlie Kirk’s event at Utah Valley University, said that there were no security measures in place to screen people or even take their tickets.
The event did not have metal detectors and no one checked bags, which Dechene said “felt off” during an interview with CNN’s Kasie Hunt.
Before the shooting, Dechene said the people at the event were having fun talking and doing chants like “USA.”
It was an outdoor venue at a collage campus. Are they going to search every student on campus? The event was organized by his company turning point usa. It was part of his prove me wrong series where random people debate him. He had his own security at the event. I don't think collages should have to pay for security every time some rando shows up.
RIP, looks like supa can throw a party and celebrate as a grown ass man
I've got no sympathy for a man who thinks rape is funny, who thinks school/mass shootings are a fair price to pay for the 2nd amendment, and who thinks the value of a woman is to only have babies.
Would I like no political and gun violence? Yes, but when the enemy celebrates and enjoys it and uses it against the country? Against its own citizens? When innocents are the ones that die for it (we had a school shooting at the same time as Charlie's shooting - guess which one they'll talk about more?) Just 2 hours before the shooting Charlie Kirk's podcast cohost advocated for public executions and we're supposed to have debate and agree to disagree? Get the fuck outta here!
The best thing I can say about Charlie Kirk is that he died for what he believed in, for what he said was that gun violence was a necessity to protect gun rights.

So what did he do to you other than having different views? What did he do directly to get the death sentence. All he did was debate uneducated students and have his rally’s. You can easily not watch or read what he says/does. Wild you think he deserved to die. Just tune shit out, it’s crazy how you have kids
We Paid Some Etsy Witches to Curse Charlie Kirk
If the far-right misogynist with a bad haircut wants to villainize independent women, Jezebel is more than happy to be the hag of his nightmares.
And? Why would you even read that and care in the first place. It’s a waste of time. This Kirk guy is a small fish and non factor in the grand scheme of things. You should be more scared of the folks with peanut brains to believe everything he says instead of taking it as a grain of salt

This isn't true at all
All the people wanting to fight over this guy have absolutely no idea who he even was. Could he be replaced by another asset, sure. The new one might be even worse. But it doesn't mean he was irrelevant.
You guys are going after supa, but he is showing the same level of sympathy Kirk did for thousands of victims and millions of others. Except he's not doing it in an attempt to get a pedophile rapist Russian asset elected as president.
In the aftermath of the shooting, Kirk's past remarks on gun violence have resurfaced. In 2023, following a mass shooting at the Christian Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, Kirk stated that gun deaths are "unfortunately worth it" to preserve Second Amendment rights.
According to Newsweek website, he said, “It’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment.”
So I'd have to agree with Supa in saying how Kirk has demonstrated in the extreme literal sense of dying for what he believed in, that his death (by gun violence) is exactly the necessary price to pay to protect gun rights in the US.
I'm not saying he deserved to die. I'm saying he died precisely for the very exact ideal that he believed in.

This is a good way to put it. The last thing he said was misinformation about trans shootings, followed by starting on some misinformation about gun violence. He died the way he lived, proving himself wrong in the end.

Kirk also said that empathy was bullshit and he couldn't imagine having any for his kids. He said it was a new age made up thing that causes a lot of damage.
If the thought of watching him die is repulsive to you then spare a few more thoughts to the kids he felt were worthy sacrifices for his rights and spare a few more thoughts to the kids who had to watch their classmates be murdered in even worse ways. Spare a thought for all the folks who are the victims of mass shootings - go take a look at how many there have been this year (there have been 9 just in Sept). Charlie thought it was just fine for these people to die and that more should die so the 2nd Amendment was protected.
We lower the flag for a ghoul like him but not for Melissa Hortman nor for the kids in each mass shooting. That's nuts.
That part you can't really pin on him though, the entire country these days is predicated on famewhoring, nothing matters unless it happens to someone famous. That's another societal problem entirely.
I just found out today Trump signed an executive order last week to rename the US Department of Defense to Department of War.
Pete Hegseth's new title is now Secretary of War.
The rebrand could cost taxpayers more than $1 billion.

I wonder how Kim feels about this because if it weren’t for the fishing vessel, the SEALs would have made landfall. Massive security failure.

The highest regards and respect for Charlie Kirk in his dedication to do his part in upholding the second amendment, and further respect to all those who might follow in his footsteps.

The head of the FBI kash patelnis a fucking clown. He posted on Twitter they had the shooter in custody. But now that person has been released and the shooter is still at large. People probably let there guards down when he posted that making it easier for the shooter to get away.
