Down Low chicken is great as well, definitely recommend that spot as well. Coleslaw sucks though, pass on that. Cornbread is good.

I used to live near auto west BMW and LA chicken was walking distance for me

I only go to churches if there was a special or a deal, if not I go to LA (if I wasn't making at home)

Wife just picked up high five chicken from marine drive. The spicy ones were sitting out in the lamp for a while and they dried out a bit. They still taste quite good though. The regular fried chicken was fresh and I stand by my previous comment that it taste like la chicken. She also picked up a few pieces of the baked and those were pretty good too.

Down Low Chicken ... drove by it like 4-5 times, couldn't find parking and/or line was way too long. Finally drove by, found a parking spot, and no lineup around 3:45 pm in the afternoon.

Still had to wait for order to be made. If you like your fried chicken freshly made then that's a plus, but if you're in the Church's frame of mind where they take it off the heat rack (still hot and fresh), then it's a bit on the slow side. Taste ... so so, it was super oily, in my humble opinion, over rated. 3/5. But for those who like to compare Fried chicken, definitely should give it a try. I ordered the Easy Thigh ($4) and a Big Wing ($3) just so I can try it ... everything else on menu seemed a bit pricey to me.

You should try the sandwich. Everything really balances nice with the slaw, bun, and B+B pickles.

We finally had a chance to check out DK Chicken in Langley. It was worth the trip.
I ordered a half a crispy garlic chicken, and the wife went with grilled beef/veggie stir fry (called beef bulgogi on the menu). The chicken was crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. The side of kimchi and salad was pretty good, too. The bulgogi was just as tasty. The beef was tender without a hint of gristle. I want to go back soon to sample more of the menu.
