Popeyes chicken coming soon to poco |
Poco is a bit of a stretch to call it 'Metro Vancouver' ... too bad it wasn't more central! |
There use to be a Popeye's in Coquitlam back then I believe, more than 10 years ago IIRC. |
think opening Robson downtown would make it more than 8 years??....Hmmm... |
yup and I can't wait, 10mins from my work. |
Just an FYI, but it's owned by RBI (Restaurant Brands International) which is the company that bought Tim Horton's and completely driven it into the ground. If you go, do so when they first open when they most likely will still have corporate staff running it. After that, I can't imagine it being any good as the quality goes down like Timmies |
meh church's and LA chicken already does pretty good fried chicken...and not too far from poco you have options for Korean fc would like to see chick-fil-a instead Toronto is getting 'em |

EDIT: Yes to Chick fil a |
Or you could go to one of the other 50 fried chicken places in metro Vancouver that are better and not an American chain. |
I've had decent Popeyes from the airport in Charlotte NC. I thought it tastes better than anything we had in Vancouver (including la Chicken, high five, etc). I guess time will tell if Popeyes can survive again in Vancouver. To be honest I think opening in Richmond would have wayy more business. Chinese people love fried chicken. Every churches I see is filled with Chinese people |
Tried it for the first time in San Diego over spring break and it was awesome. The spicy chicken, gravy and biscuit is like crack. Dipping the biscuit in the gravy :drool |

Im still waiting for Jollibee's to be open in Vancouver. Haven't tried it before, but to be on topic i still really like Churches chicken the best and don't get tired of it either. |

speaking of fried chicken at airports the Popeyes I had at Salt Lake City was also delish the Jollibee's I had at Manila was underwhelming, but it was very cheap (like most food there) so didn't bother me |
Speaking of church’s... their coupons suck. It’s so expensive to eat there now. |

I remember the food being pretty good way back when. But it was almost at a premium price tag for fast food. I can't imagine how much it's gonna cost in 2018 dollars if I thought it was expensive back then. |
If you're in Langley and want some decent fried chicken try Frickin Waffles across from the Army and Navy. The location is kind of shitty in a scuzzy area and honestly the decor and stuff isn't fancy at all comparable to a breakfast diner but the food is good. I'm not a big chicken guy but it's good here, crispy and not dry. https://www.yelp.ca/biz/fricken-waffle-langley |
