Safety is the excuse for everything these days

:suspicious: :seriously: :rukidding:  :fulloffuck:

I'm sure ambulance, fire and 911 dispatch are fucking stoked to see the VPD suggesting 911 over a noisy car is a viable option.

68style 04-29-2019 11:02 AM

^ Fuckin ridiculous

AzNightmare 04-29-2019 11:43 AM

I find EV's super dangerous as a pedestrian... Just can never hear those damn things sneaking up on you. Sometimes I'll be walking down the alley and then take a quick look before I cross to the other side and I see an EV right there behind me.

BIC_BAWS 04-29-2019 11:58 AM

What a joke. Safety? They should really be cracking down on drivers without headlights/rear lights at night. Now that's something I can get behind in the name of safety.

wing_woo 04-29-2019 12:14 PM

Funny how they say the fine is $109+ 3 points but fail to mention that they are actually sending cars in for VIs instead so you can't contest it.

68style 04-29-2019 12:33 PM

^
They're doing both... there's an actual ticket being issued with points for unnecessary noise... and you can contest that in court.

Yes, I know. I meant that it's funny they mention nothing about the VI portion that is not contestable and only mention the fine.

Few more years and we'll all be rolling around in teslas and be watching TV on the screen, can't touch this copper cuz it's oem. Once people start figuring out how to modify ev for performance :lawl: considering we have pretty high stock ev performance now without making any noise.

Imagine getting your license suspended cause of a noise violations :lawl:. Vancouver's becoming commifornia

GS8 04-29-2019 01:54 PM

I'm in Coquitlam. Stuck between Vancouver and Surrey

Would I rather get killed by a gun or a popping exhaust?

Let me ask 911.

JDMDreams 04-29-2019 02:14 PM

Let's all call 911 vpd when we hear sirens and file a noise complaint.

Some jurisdictions actually changed the sirens to the Euro style, because it's less disruptive and harmful to the ears.

Let's bring in the Japanese siren system, complete with asking people to clear the way over PA.

westopher 04-29-2019 05:23 PM

"CLEAR THE WAY PEOPLE" *crackles* "WE HAVE A LOWERED CAR IN THE AREA"

It's May.

Right on time for the annual loud motorcycle and car news articles...

Don't act surprised, this gets posted literally EVERY year, police make same silly comments about how its unsafe and blah blah blah

Groot 04-30-2019 11:34 AM

A couple weeks ago, i was getting off work and my car is parked on a small street around w10th. Went to go start it up (i have j’s axleback)and I see this elderly lady walking on the other side of the street. She hardcore stared me down like I was a menace to society so I just smiled at her and she just kept staring lol
