“I told Canada, which very much wants to be part of our fabulous Golden Dome System, that it will cost $61 Billion Dollars if they remain a separate, but unequal, Nation, but will cost ZERO DOLLARS if they become our cherished 51st State,” he wrote.
Imagine paying $61B for this "Golden Dome" and still being called the 51st state. So much for standing up to Trump.

This is Trump trying to clean up his own mess - the Golden Dome isn't possible without Canada's support because without Canada's support there's no way for the US to know when Chinese/Russian missiles enter Canadian airspace.
Trump's trying to spin it like Canada is an optional partner that needs to pony up when, in reality, Trump talked shit about Canada and now he can't get the Golden Dome done without us.

It was to detect if the USSR lobbed ICBMs over the pole at North America.

Orange Turd is acting like a used car salesman. -more like a snake oil salesman in this case in terms of the estimate cost of the Golden Dome defence system.
The actual cost of the defence system is going to be much higher for both the U.S. and Canada. News articles on citynews1130 mention that the technology does not even exist for such a defence system in terms of intercepting missiles which are sent from space.
Golden Dome is just like Cheeto's golden sneakers. Overpriced hype.
