They’re expensive compared to the other masks you can buy during this pandemic .

If you're just looking to purchase cloth masks (non-surgical grade) you can find a ton being sold on IG and Facebook through people with seamstress experience. A lot of charitable causes are also having fundraisers by selling them, so I'd suggest going that route first before doing it through for profit companies. Dr. Bonnie and Adrian Dix said no Canucks until vaccine! I think they mean no full stadium. But you might have heard that Vancouver put a bid in for the end of season tournament/ playoffs, presumably with no fans.
Why not allow fans in with distancing and fill it with 30% capacity, every 3 seat or something? Better than nothing, it'll just look like a regulation game for Florida Panthers.

Every time they do that, they get burned as new information comes out.
Counting on a vaccine to put an end to this is currently the biggest fallacy that people are using, whether they know it or not. Never in human history have we come up with a vaccine for something like this. And now people want to place all their bets behind one that works? In "12 to 18 months"?  | |

What if the vaccine ends up being incompatible with a huge segment of the population? Does it get taken away? Do those people have to stay home?
The whole "vaccine will save us all" narrative is the next battle we'll be arguing about, and then inevitably dealing with. Not to get all tin foily, but it's kind of fucked up how most people just assume a vaccine will just be this innocuous thing that will "just work"
I assume most people don't pay attention to how effective vaccination is overall - think about how many people suddenly know how many die from the flu. And we have a vaccine for that! Kind of.... Then you have the mumps vaccine. Nobody worries about the mumps anymore. But that vaccine is only about 80% effective.

Don't quite understand why fellow athletes and people are getting so virtuous all of a sudden? You mean to tell me this doesn't happen ... like a flip switches from minor hockey/Jr hockey to NHL and players become all clean, holy, monogamous, and gentlemenly? I think it's the 'guy got caught' syndrome.

the reporting on brackett just shows how shitty reporters are here.
first it was he didnt like podz and was upset benning decided with him. now its he always loved podz and benning didnt want him.
then it was every bust pick was something benning overruled him on, and every pick that panned out was because of brackett
now they are saying his original contract was 3 years, now benning is offering 2 and how thats super disrespectful. they dont even remember that theres the possible lockout in sept 2022
