In general, I don't think it's fair to judge things that happened 35+ years ago as if they had been today, as cultural and social norms shift over time and people don't have crystal balls. With that said, this video is a pretty crazy example of how the standard has moved - the entire vocabulary and style of the dialogue in this song just wouldn't be kosher in 2019, let alone the cringe-worthy slanty eye moment in the video...
