While I am slightly tempted to just "get it over with", the risk is still there, and there is no telling how long the immunity will work before the virus mutates.

It is pretty much a game of Russian Roulette. You will probably be fine, but are you ready for the worst possible outcome?

I agree. I don’t think it will ever go away. Small businesses will shutdown, but others will pop up slowly. People will be a lot more careful with their money. Trust will be a thing of the past.

As a side note, some Catholic Churches are opening drive through confessionals. Yeah, “Father, I have sinned. Raped and tortured three people last week.” No problem, son. You are forgiven. god bless.............

Two inmates in a Mission hospital have contracted Covid. Silver Lining. Nuff said. I pray for the prison guards, though. They don’t deserve that kind of a fate. I phoned my buddy who works in the prison system and told him to be extra vigilant. These people are like first responders. Keeping us safe from the scums of the earth.

TouringTeg 04-04-2020 03:25 PM

A neighbour works as a guard at a local prison. His wife and kids left for their family’s house in Penticton for the foreseeable future because he can easily bring home Covid. I feel for him.

Catholic Churches are opening drive through confessionals. Yeah :lol

I know there is a stock market thread but has anyone been trading the dip? Thoughts on whether or not this is a good time to invest?

ilovebacon 04-04-2020 03:49 PM

^ I would like to my but my progess of transferring money from CIBC to Questrade is taking its sweet ass time.
This is my third application. I don't think they want to take my money... or I am submitting my application with errors.

StylinRed 04-04-2020 03:57 PM

Never been a fan of CIBC constant incompetence from branch lvl to credit card department, even closing my accounts with them was the biggest pain in the ass

At this point in time, it's not as simple as "I'll just get sick, recover and move on". There's also no guarantee that just because you're young and/or healthy that it won't hit you hard.

In fact I know someone who was very sick for quite a while, seemed to recover, and then got it all over again. Not as sick the second time, but still very bad.

Thankfully no major pulmonary issues. Did have some cardiac wonkiness though, lots of palpitations which must be scary.

Once recovered I think they're going to include him in some research to determine why this happened, whether he got two different strains or what.

SkinnyPupp 04-04-2020 04:33 PM

Some tweets from a Wapo reporter about just how dysfunctional the US govt was during this. I mean we all know it was bad, but here are some details.

We all know Trump was going to be dangerous for the country and world, but it seemed more like a joke or something. That may be why there were no real efforts by the public to get rid of him, just a lot of lame posturing by the dems, and a lot of complaining.

But here we are...

Not sure if this is the right thread for it, but since there was some mask discussions going on in here. Does anyone know where to get some nitrile gloves?

If you are you better have a strategy. I’m trying to follow like a 5 segment plan in terms of buying or selling based on 5 different time increments, most likely 2 week periods where I will review prices etc.

I’ve made some profits recently on companies I thought may go no where and have seen no movement since I bought 1-3 years ago and suddenly have been acquired or seen an influx in capital.

Opportunities like this are once in a lifetime

Sounds like you already have it!!! Go get checked!!! Your head is foggy AF!!!

ilovebacon 04-04-2020 06:34 PM

I think his mindset was to get infected and recover with his immune system being stronger :lol

On the other side, I would be more worried about bringing the virus home to my loved ones(parents for example).

got this email from Artscow earlier today

Due to the exponential increase in the demand for face masks, our initial batch of 3-Ply Face Masks are already sold out. We managed to get limited new batches of 3-Ply Face Masks as well as KN95 Masks but at a higher cost price and so prices for the incoming batch of masks will be adjusted. This also applies to incoming stock for KN95 masks which may have to be raised to $2.5/mask. New 3-Ply Face Masks will tentatively be available for order on April 8, 2020. Due to the impact on postal services, we recommend upgrading to FedEx Priority Shipping as Regular Airmail may take up to 12 days to be shipped.

We recommend purchasing the limited stock of ASTM Level 1 Surgical Masks as we have lowered the prices to combat cost increase for the new batches. This applies to all KN95 Masks as well as there are only a few left in stock from our first batch purchase. Current prices are as followed:

3-Ply Surgical Masks
(available from April 8) $55 / 100 masks Regular Airmail: Free

FedEx: $25/ 100 masks (Additional per order: $10/ 100 masks)
ASTM Level 1
Surgical Mask $65/ 100 masks Regular Airmail: Free

FedEx: $25/ 100 masks (Additional per order: $10/ 100 masks)
KN95 (Individually Packed) $230/ 100 masks FedEx Priority Shipping: $25/ 100 masks
Kn95 (Resealable Zipper Top) $200/ 100 masks FedEx Priority Shipping: $25/ 100 masks
KN95 (Kids Size) $200/ 100 masks FedEx Priority Shipping: $25/ 100 masks

Just for everyone looking to buy masks, I know it's hard to do but please make sure they're genuine products.

I saw a post on FB saying there are fake Korean KF94 masks (guess where the fake ones are coming from) online.

http://cdn.ppomppu.co.kr/zboard/data...6_oohkkbdf.png
http://cdn.ppomppu.co.kr/zboard/data...7_hdyieirn.png

They have Korean writing on them but whether intentional or not, it's largely gibberish. Typos everywhere and it doesn't make any sense. For example the genuine one says defective masks will be given 교환 (exchange). The fake one says defective masks will be given 고환 (testicle).

Be safe.
