Badhobz not approving of Kirkland Brand? Did he get hacked? :suspicious:

Hondaracer 01-10-2025 06:52 PM

So just went to Willingdon, have almost never been on a Friday night but figured it wouldn’t be too bad.. nope.. one of the worst times I’ve seen it outside of the holidays uhg.. still went in

Made a point to look at that pad behind the card scanner as per MG1, yep, it’s not just your membership picture but zoomed in entirely on your face so it takes up the whole screen lol… and pretty clear, so yea, good luck using someone else’s card lol.

Some casual racial slurs, a woman who wouldn’t stop commenting on the cake I was buying.. the biggest hoard of people I’ve ever seen waiting for glizzys.. won’t be doing fridays anymore lol

Badhobz 01-10-2025 07:07 PM

they would comment on your white supremacist cake man, I told you, ya gotta go to DQ for that kinda shit.

Coq College used to cater towards AzN international students back in the day. Once the bell rang around 3PM, the area around North Rd/Lougheed Mall looked straight out of HK.

i lived at north road and austin for about 3 years before we bought the house. this area has few white people and normally like zero brown people, but around 430ish when i would drive through there the intersection at austin would just be loooaded with brown students. i always wondered where tf they were coming from.

Is there a school in the area that they're going to?

In high school, I used to work at Lougheed Mall and it was mostly white and Korean. Rarely ever saw Indians in the area. Damn, I'm old. :okay:

Not sure why, but I bought this Danby freezer a couple days at at Costco here in Calgary and it was only $199... kind of a no brainer... but it's $299 on the Costco website. In-store does not have any discount or -$100 indicators anywhere on the signage. Weird.

Even the brown lady at the cashier super said this is a really good price. I felt like I got highest score on an arcade game with a brown lady validating my purchase!

I have the exact same one I bought last year and saw the same thing as you. Online is always more expensive, you are basically paying $100 for shipping.

There's a class-action that someone submitted the other day saying that it was wrong that the site and the in-store prices were different. However, I don't see them winning, the site clearly states that the same product might be available in-store for a different price.

Costco things are cheaper in store because shipping is factored in when you buy online.

They getting sued because of it too

EvoFire 01-11-2025 06:36 PM

The site does say available in store, but I think that was added in the last year.

hud 91gt 01-11-2025 07:00 PM

That freezer was 139 at a local Costco (forget which one) but the upright was $299. I thought to myself what a rip off, turn it sideways (joking).

I ordered other things 2+ years ago and I remember the disclaimer, but maybe the lawsuit was for a while ago.

red kryptonite 01-12-2025 10:42 PM

spent 3 hours at costco today.... what a zoo!

something went wrong when getting my membership. long story short.

signed up, started shopping, got an email saying my account has been put on hold, went up to the membership area and they scanned my card and it says everything is fine on their end.
continued shopping then paid with no problem. got some $1.50 hotdogs and it was fine.
waited in line for like 10mins for some cheap gas and the membership wasnt working. got out of line, repark.
went back inside and waited in line for another 10mins. sorted everything out, ended up redoing everything with a new membership. went back to fill gas.
then i realized if they had to give me a new membership then i probably wouldnt get the 2% cash back on my $2000 purchase, repark.
went back inside and explained to them my concerns. ended up returning all the items and repurchasing it on the new card.

:speechless:

Badhobz 01-13-2025 02:38 AM

It’s cursed !!!!! The Costco gods are not pleased…

You didn’t buy any Kirkland clothing swag did you ? You cannot go to the church of Costco in your regular designer attire. You will occur the wrath of Kirkland. One must purify one self with 1.50 hotdogs and poutine first before shopping and ignore all the devils free samples

68style 01-13-2025 06:13 AM

$2000!! Bro doesn’t even have kids.. RS ballerz strike again

Badhobz 01-13-2025 06:21 AM

do you know what kind of a G you need to be to roll up in Costco (i assume on the island) with a X5M, proceed to buy 2k worth of shit and then RETURN IT, just to buy it all again to get the 2% executive membership savings (40 bucks yo)

THATS THE MOST CHINESE THING TO EVER CHINESE. AND IM CHINESE.

bcrdukes 01-13-2025 06:31 AM

Holy, $2000 spend on first day of membership. Did you get robbed or something? :lol

supafamous 01-13-2025 06:44 AM

So how much are you guys spending at Costco annually? I did my 2024 finances using Lunch Money and it turned out I spent $10k last year ($2k was for my hearing aids). I had 4 trips that came in over $500 and another 8 there were over $300.

bcrdukes 01-13-2025 06:58 AM

YoY spend is anywhere between $2000 - $2500, but I've observed my average spend is declining since 2021. Last year was about $1800 or so.

Scary how red kryptonite spent more than me in a day when it takes me a year to spend that much at Costco. :D

Badhobz 01-13-2025 07:02 AM

so i just did the math, and i spent roughly 28,000 at costco last year because my 2% executive rebate was 578 bucks.
