I'm so happy hockey is back, annoying it starts at 4pm but at least the drive home from work will be hopefully entertaining.

I was reading an article this morning that was centered around Boeser.
He had to quarantine for 5 days in Anaheim when he tested postive.
Then had to quarantine for an additional 10 days in Canada.

Petey only had to quarantine for 5 days cause he tested positive in Canada.

2 more nucks had to quarantine for 15 days like Boeser because they tested positive in the US.

I am excited to see how well the team will do on this road trip.

Only thing I knew about this guy before today is he's friends with Lamar Jackson, and while Jackson is clean, the team is worried about him getting into trouble hanging out with this guy and his other friends. This is apparently a sticking point of their contract negotiations - they're willing to pay him as much as he wants, they just want to not be liable for this kind of shit. After going through the same thing with Ray Lewis' friends, I can't really blame them.

For Evander Kane ... offer him minimum salary for a vet with some incentives/bonuses. If he acts up again, waive his ass ... not a huge risk and potentially, you get a Semenko figure for McDavid's line.

Agree that Oilers should be putting all efforts in obtaining a goalie. I can't believe they went into another year with Smith and Koskinen. Did they really not see how this would blow up in their face? Especially when there were so many goalies on the move in the summer. Shit, they could have even traded for Fleury if they wanted a short term deal.

Kane will not be the answer for them as they can't outscore opponents to win games.

The NHLPA is filing a grievance so there's a chance SJ can't even terminate. So right now, the only option is through a trade.

But to add more fuel to the fire, NHL is now conducting an investigation on Kane violating his recent COVID protocol. So until that's done, nothing is going to happen haha.
