How far can that civil suit go with no actual legal charges?
I agree that no team would take on that baggage if they don't need to, especially with the ongoing #metoo thing. JV18 isn't good enough for that, and even if he's say Eichel level of talent I'd hesitate to say any team would pay him market for the negative PR.

Then we would have the cap space to sign Petey and Hughes. Thats what i think is going on. We have 10.6mil in cap space and another 3.5 from Ferland. 14mil between Hughes and Petey sounds about right on a short term deal.

A lot of people bitch about many of the Canucks’ signings under Benning and somehow Ferland is usually forgotten. That was a mistake from day 1.

No one talks about it cause Ferland was brought in to protect Petey and also teach Jake how to be a power forward. Concussions got the best of him. Was it Bennings fault? I can see both sides of the arguement but im not pretend and say i knew this was gonna happen from the get go

I really wished Ferland was 100% healthy. The few games where he played his style he would've made the Canucks that much tougher
