Trotz is a native of Dauphin, Manitoba. Coaching the Jets would be a homecoming for him in many ways.
He can bring his defensive system to help the Jets.

^ yah, except it's Winnipeg. Not everyone appreciates going back to their home town after being in Nashville, Washington, NY. If he is the best coach available, he may want to go to Vegas? 100x better place to live than Winnipeg.

Rangers offense reminds me so much of the Canucks... Get out of their zone with clever defensive play. Make it through an aggressive checking neutral zone with amazing stick handling and/or passing. Make it into the offensive zone, then dump it into the corner. Then lose possession, then go on defense. Over and over all game long. Lose 2-1 or 3-2.

Not sure if he was directly talking to anyone or just being loud and bringing attention to himself.
Ranger fan either way lost his cool and wanted to shut him up.
I definitely get what you're saying though. Tampa fan definitely didn't put himself in a good position. I always thought people were kind of being a troll when they go into another stadium cheering for the other team. Even if not and that's your actual team, you have to be smart about it, cause you're surrounded by a lot of people that basically "hate" you.
Like you said, we're not victim blaming... there shouldn't be anything wrong with what he did by attending and cheering for Tampa. But being obnoxious and talking smack after in front of all the fans is kind of like selling something on Craigslist in a dark alley at night and not expecting to get robbed.
