Get on with the program, man lol~

What she is not?

Dude I was joking.

There's a townhouse complex at 49th and Cambie on the southeast corner... old complex with the gates by the golf course... if you drive in there there's one unit that the windows are just covered in all the same flags as the queen lady above and a bunch of anti-Canadian government messaging.

I always wondered if it was just a supporter or her actual stronghold.

MG1 09-12-2022 07:49 AM

Dude, why are you going all out manic? Your posts aren’t usually this bad. Grammar wise, that is.

So after charles its william and then i read somewhere its prince george (the little dude) instead of harry.. how does that work? i thought after william it would be his brother. Why would it be William's son? and how come liz's husband wasnt the king when he married her? doesnt he get the title?

confusing

Uh, The royalty succession always passes down through the eldest son (or daughter if no sons, hence why we had a queen since her father King George VI had no sons)... Harry never had a realistic chance unless William died before he had any children.

Philip was not king because he's not royal blood, he just married the queen.

She is originally from the Philippines. In Qanon circles she is known as the queen of Canada. She has a lot of supporters. They bought her an RV so she can travel around Canada. She also has a security detail that follows her in cars. 3 weeks back she told her supporters to arrest the police. So 20 to 40 showed up at a Peterborough Ontario police station to do so. It did not go well. This is the video:

Love how all the "minor royals" have trendy modern names but the ones up for succession are all "regally" named: William, George, Charlotte, Harold (Harry). If for some reason all the 1st tier royals get wiped out in some tragic accident we might end up with a Queen Savannah or King Lucas :D

queen lilibet sounds hilarious

JDMDreams 09-12-2022 01:27 PM

Lol I love how all the Karen's just have their phones out or filming, I sure wouldn't mind a police beat down for the guy that was kicking the door at the end:awwyeah:

Lilibet was the Queen's nickname. Elizabeth = Lilibet because as a child that's how she pronounced it. Kinda strange Harry and Megan named their kid after their grandma's nickname based on a mispronunciation. Eh but that's Hollywood for ya.

Yess!! We get a new national holiday in honour of the Queen.

Turd just made the announcement:

https://globalnews.ca/news/9122726/c...ueens-funeral/

The national holiday will coincide with the queen’s funeral in London, U.K.

“Declaring an opportunity for Canadians to mourn on Monday is important,” said Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Tuesday, adding conversations are underway with provinces and federal workers.

Another long weekend is coming up. LUL

Hondaracer 09-13-2022 08:14 AM

In b4 every company that flooded their social media with RIP’s not giving anyone the holiday

pastarocket 09-13-2022 08:18 AM

I work for the feds so it's an automatic day off for me on September 19th. LUL

If Turd mentioned that discussions under way with provincial governments and federal workers, then it is possible that people who have jobs that are under provincial regulation would get September 19th as a day off from work too.

For example, teachers and nurses.

Seriously though, how many here on RS who will get September 19th as a day off from work will use part of that day to pay their respects to the Queen by watching her televised funeral? :considered:

Traum 09-13-2022 08:25 AM

Based on the wording from different news outlets, I am not convinced that Sept 19 is gonna be a national-wide public holiday.

In 2 news outlets that I've read, it was only described as a "federal holiday and national day of mourning". That tells me this Queen Elizabeth Memorial Day is gonna be just like the The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (Sept 30) where it will only be observed by federal employees, but not the public in general.

El Bastardo 09-13-2022 08:27 AM

I'll be at work but will have a CBC or BBC tab open.

I'm not sure if the flags are half-mast in Texas out of respect for the queen or if there has been another mass murder. Either way, they're lowered.

CivicBlues 09-13-2022 08:30 AM

Can't wait to tell all my American colleagues I get the day off because the Queen died :D

Great68 09-13-2022 09:53 AM

I'd be pretty surprised if this is made a proper provincial stat holiday.

It wouldn't exactly be a good look, considering they couldn't do so with the T&R day.

And I don't think employers fear the same bad optics if they don't give it to their employees.

Mikoyan 09-13-2022 10:22 AM

Heard it's going to be only a one time Holiday.

Yeah I agree, it wouldn't make sense to have it every year...

I wonder what Manic! will do on Sep 19th.

MG1 09-13-2022 10:23 AM

^^that makes most sense

blkgsr 09-13-2022 10:52 AM

do we lose Victoria Day in May now???

Charles was born on Nov 14th, they're not going to move it to that day are they? fuck that, keep it in May.
