Obviously I'm biased, but the oilers winning makes a good hockey story for the ages, and is great for the dwindling interest in the sport.

I don't get the underdog story. The Oilers were favourites to win the cup at the beginning of the season and for the playoffs.

They are only underdogs because they did not meet expectations. Stanley Cup favourites with one of the GOATs to ever play should not have had that losing streak at the beginning of the season and shouldn't have been down 3-0 in the SCF finals.

I guess what annoys me of Oilers fans is they act like the underdogs and expect all of Canada to cheer for them as a result but they have fucking McDavid they shouldn't even be in this position in the first place.

I'm personally cheering for Florida but would be cool to see a legendary comeback regardless.
