Hahha. Skinner sucks! He was way out of position when Vegas scored the winning goal hahah.

-so aggressive in challenging the Vegas player.

Karlsson had a big game tonight. Scoring a goal and setting up the winner.

Who lost it for them, looked like Skinner was way out of position.

Called it that they would lose their 2-0 lead with Skinner back in goal.

westopher 05-10-2025 07:49 PM

The guy shot it from behind the net and Leon put that in. How could you possibly think that's skinners fault. He sucks, but that would have ended up at the face off dot.

SkinnyPupp 05-10-2025 07:49 PM

Skinner did well but he's still Skinner

Connor took over the game for a good 5 minutes and got them back in it, but Skinner is still Skinner

It went off Drai's stick but it was going in anyway

Harvey Specter 05-10-2025 07:53 PM

Brutal lmao.

pastarocket 05-10-2025 08:00 PM

Defensive breakdowns from the Oilers also let Vegas back into the game.

Vegas players scored some of their goals by being able to skate hard to the net. No body checks from Arvidsson and the other two Oilers players on Reilly Smith. Backhand to score Vegas’ second goal.

This is not beer league hockey guys. Hit the Vegas player haha.

It was going the opposite direction. It was shot from behind the goal line.

MarkyMark 05-10-2025 08:27 PM

It was definitely not going in until Drai tipped it. Skinner definitely came way further out of his net than he needed to but in his defense, he sucks ass.

SkinnyPupp 05-10-2025 08:31 PM

Looked to me like it would have gone on the inside of the post, probably looked that way to Draisaitl too

Oh well, those are the breaks sometimes. McDavid got one off a skate right before this.

The 2 periods of questionable defense is a much bigger issue than one bad play by Skinner and/or Draisaitl

westopher 05-10-2025 08:35 PM

Oilers played poorly the last 50 minutes. Can't win them all. Hopefully pickard is ready to go next game, but they did skinner no favours.

whitev70r 05-10-2025 08:35 PM

Only hope and prayer is that Pickard's injury is not serious. I mean Pickard is no Vezina candidate but it just feels he is more calm, controlled, and conventional. Dman and rest of team know what to generally expect. Skinner is like so effin unpredictable ... team must be thinking, 'WTF is he going to do next? Oh, damn it went in again!'

AzNightmare 05-10-2025 09:18 PM

LOOOOL.
What an ending, only player on the Oiler's team that knew it was a goal was Draisaitl.

spoon.ek9 05-11-2025 06:48 AM

Skinner could have hugged the post and that would have never happened. Had Draisaitl not made contact, that would have never happened. I think both are at fault for that play lol. Either way, made for a great ending :joy:

Skinner way overthought that play… so bad

The weird reaction to the bad angle clapper that resulted in another goal was pretty bad too

Fans voted for Luongo as part of the NHL’s quarter century team:

I count six goalies on the team of 25 players.

Luongo
Martin Brodeur
Marc-Andre Fleury
Henrik Lundqvist
Carey Price
Patrick Roy

All I can think about with the Canucks at this point is that “stop he’s already dead” clip from the Simpsons… they’re not even playing anymore and it’s just non-stop bad news

whitev70r 05-11-2025 06:11 PM

Canucks are so effed if their GM thinks their star $12M player is a lazy ass. 8 yrs to look forward to this ... Aquaman, get ready to buy him out of its OEL 2.0

SkinnyPupp 05-11-2025 06:19 PM

The only thing Canucks fans seem to be happy about are other Canadian teams losing, so today was a good one for them SeemsGood

Both Dallas and Florida hit them with a USA chant as the games ended too LUL

MarkyMark 05-11-2025 06:23 PM

I'd be happy if Winnipeg won but unfortunately they look the least likely of making it out of the second round.

It's hockey, if the roles were reversed it ain't like Edmonton or Toronto would be pulling for the Canucks lol

bobbinka 05-11-2025 06:26 PM

I'm rooting for Winterpeg, but what happened to Helly.

SkinnyPupp 05-11-2025 06:34 PM

Hellebuyck just can't seem to play well on the road

Season ticket holders should not renew their tickets. Why spend your hard earned money to watch an entitled spoiled lazy ass EP40.

He's starting to have a reputation of just not being a playoff performer.
Elite regular season goalie, but his past 3 playoff seasons have not been elite by any means.

He's only posted above .900 SAV% twice this playoffs. And this is suppose to be the best goalie in the league?

whitev70r 05-12-2025 07:37 AM

Canucks into 3rd round ... Abbotsford Canucks, that is .. of the Calder Cup playoffs.

It looks like Calder Cup is one LONG playoff, maybe 5-6 rounds, some best of 3, some best of 5, final 2 rounds, best of 7 ... or something like that. Apparently, Silov is standing on his head, which is good to know that Canucks has a good goalie in the pipeline.
