Wonder if this success might have some positive effects trickle down/up to the real Canucks. Kudos to Manny Malholtra. Keep it going.

Yup. Few buddies and I wanted to go pub to catch the game. Only one pub in Abby showing the game. Kinda sucks no pub in Vancouver area showing the game. Its still good to see the up and coming talent even though its the AHL.

I went to one round 2 playoff game. $35 bucks and not a bad seat in the house since there is no upper bowl.

if anyone wants to catch an oilers game at an oilers bar, go to the black frog in gastown.

The excitement isn't quite at the level of watching an all time great wrestling show and then 2 goals from the Hockey God, but I'll take it :awwyeah:

whitev70r 05-28-2025 07:23 PM

Damn ...was hoping the Canes could stretch the series a bit but ...

Looking like a repeat of last year SCF.

spoon.ek9 05-29-2025 07:31 AM

As soon as Panthers scored that 3rd goal, I knew they would win. Didn't even matter to me when Canes tied it up. Florida winning was inevitable last night.

SkinnyPupp 05-29-2025 04:36 PM

Oettinger left his team! LOL

SkinnyPupp 05-29-2025 04:38 PM

:ahwow: what is going on

Jason00S2000 05-29-2025 04:43 PM

Will this be a total blowout, like 8-1?

keifun 05-29-2025 04:48 PM

Damn. I was hoping this series would go a bit longer. Guess not.

SkinnyPupp 05-29-2025 05:40 PM

SCF rematch!

pastarocket 05-29-2025 06:42 PM

We have a Stanley Cup Final rematch!

Can the Oilers beat the defending champs this time?

Very low key win and celebration by the Oilers. Dudes are on a mission.

This time they're touching the Campbell Bowl; try something different

whitev70r 05-29-2025 07:16 PM

K, Oilers, don't spot the Panthers a 3-0 lead in the series before you wake up this time!

Hondaracer 05-29-2025 07:24 PM

I think Oilers will probably win unless people get hurt

bobbinka 05-29-2025 07:35 PM

daaaammnn, last time there was a SCF back-to-back rematch was 08/09

If they can get through the neutral zone pressure/physicality of Florida, they should be able to handle them. They were tested by both the Kings and Knights this way, while Dallas was weaker.

Whenever I watched the Canes or Toronto play Florida, I saw so many times guys bail out on neutral zone possessions, thinking they were going to get their heads taken off. They cowered against the Panthers. I didn't see much of Tampa so I can't say about them.

To me, the main thing the Oilers did successfully against Vegas and Dallas, was keep the area in front of the net clear of players. They blocked a lot of shots, and second chances were rare. And when they did happen, a stick would get in the way. They developed the right defensive play style for the goalies they have.
