Can you even build in the shitty areas that cheap? Outside of the GVRD most of southern BC is about the same. Selling my house here and moving to an equivalent one in Grand Forks only nets me about 100k so it's not even worth it from a financial perspective. For you guys maybe 3-400k if you live outside of actual Vancouver? That still doesn't really seem worth it to have to live in Grand Forks. You're going north of Prince George or east of the Rockies to get significantly cheap.
