Last night I got woken up by a huge crash like someone drove into my apartment... went out of the bedroom and started looking around... found out that one of my Ikea model car shelves, I guess it was too heavy, came out of the wall and dropped like 100 models in their boxes all over the ground... FML... only a couple of injuries it seems thankfully and a couple cracked display cases... mostly 1:43... luckily the glass shelf itself landed on something else and didn't shatter though!

you could use google. use what you wrote (nissan s14 diecast) as a search term and it will give you a lot of places to start. usually you'll end up on ebay. then you have to pick through the cheap junk until you find what you see, and then use your choice(s) to narrow down your search and see what kind of prices are right.

I was going through a few boxes in my storage unit last week and came across and old gem from the 60's (I believe).

Not mine but that's what it looks like. It's an old Japanese brand made out of tin and comes with a friction drive. Apparently one of these in mint condition with the original box can fetch for over $10,000. Mine, however, has no box, has a busted friction drive and has dents from being played with.

I know I had fun playing with it as a kid, but god damn... if someone had told me it would be worth a shit load of money when I was younger, I would have made my parents place it in a lock box at the bank. :lol

Decided to sell this thing on Ebay a couple weeks ago. Apparently this thing has a far bigger collector base than I had originally thought. There were people from Japan, Australia and all over Europe asking specific questions about it. Ended up going for a couple hundred bucks, which isn't much, but considering it's 50+ years old and is half busted, I'm more than happy with it. :lol

Also swung by Wal-Mart on my way home from work today and picked up some Hot Wheels. :fullofwin: E30 and E46 M3, an AE86, and a few other ones that piqued my interest. I've no idea why I buy 'em; they just end up going into a box in storage :lol Maybe once the basement is finished, I'll finally have a proper display case. Or... maybe in the garage once it's finally wired for power.

the 993 was extremely well detailed. besides, I don't open the doors anyways when I display mine, so not a big deal for me.

No missing pieces, I finished it, looks great!

Definitely lower quality than Lego by a longshot though... the way the pieces snap together and also they make you put stickers all over the thing including over joins, so that pretty much puts an end to any ideas of disassembling it/building it a 2nd time lol

No, I can't find anywhere that has it in stock for less then $200. I think Wilkinsons is the cheapest, don't know if I really want to shell out $200 though. I spent close to $200 on the AutoArt NSX Type R already.

Yup I've got it, it's identical to the other AutoArt Signature NSX's... exactly the same interior and moving parts, paint, etc... just obviously that it is 2 tone black and white and it has the police badges, Japanese script, the light bar on the roof and it also has a secondary short metal antenna for the police radio. The other difference I noticed from the other Signature NSX's is that the box itself actually says "Limited Edition of 3,000" or something like that embossed in a couple of places on the outside of it.

yea, it was in a box with 2 5 packs and a poster lul, it was the only one there and the only other car i remember that was the hotwheels boulevard "special" was a honda civic

theres also a of 10 pack boxes i think with the honda ef and alfa 8c, plus a couple of boxes with a black r34 skyline + various muscle cars including a yellow new srt viper with like 1 hw imagination car in the mix

dont have anything special regarding individual ones tho sadly

They kinda did with the JGTC sealed bodyshell line featuring the 02+ headlights though granted they are widebody... so it would be pretty easy for them to do one up between the current one already being tooled and other parts from the JGTC one having been tooled as well.
