Take it from a guy that has to wear one EVERY FUCKING DAY.

what do you do in HK now?

I got a couple made in TST last summer for work. Like inzomniak says, spend a bit more than the bare minimum especially if you are going to be wearing it often, and pick thicker fabrics for the colder Canadian weather. All the other guys where I work get tailored suits and mine don't look out of place at all.

What's also good is that he retained my measurements so I always get the tailor to send me a couple dress shirts now and then.

PM me if you want the information.

Hyde 12-16-2007 04:15 AM

where the hell can u get suits for 900HKD???

all my suits are at least 20k >.>

True that... in the meantime, I'm going to fly in the new AirBus 380 that I borrowed from Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal back to Vancouver and hit 'em up with Beyonce in my Lambo Gallardo

I was always going to come back, my family is here... and the 17% tax is just too enticing....

I don't want to work for 12 months, but 5 of those 12 months I work for the government of Canada you know?

vancitylove 12-18-2007 04:44 PM

what do you do for the government?

Hyde 12-18-2007 08:55 PM

So what kinda work do you do in HK that requires you to wear 20k suits?
I thought it was steep having to go out to buy a whole new wardrobe from K&C when I have to work with CXOs, but wow.... 20k per suit?! You must work with some major clients.

So all this talk of meeting up in HK, have any of you guys actually been able to set up a meet? :p

On BOTH Sat AND Sun? Which club does Hyde run with?

Now that I got married and don't drive anymore, I realised what a liberation it is... no more trying to find parking space, no more telling the car wash lady to try to use more water, no more dealing with merging from 10 lanes into 2 for the cross harbour tunnel, no more sunday drivers blocking Princess Margaret Road going at 50......

Nice bike btw ImpactX :)

Was browsing the SCMP today for new places and saw a serviced apartment for 150,000 HKD per month (that's like about 20,000 CAD). Why would people rent that when for that amount of money, you could probably be mortgaging a nice place somewhere?
