There is no such thing as a "budget" in Vegas. Whatever 20-100 bucks you may save on a hotel you'll blow at a club, on a drink, a strip club, a hooker, or at a table.

Why bother going to Vegas at all unless you were going to ball out? Unless your bitch is dragging you.

QFT

Last time I went, a bunch of us stayed at Caesars and one guy thought he'd save money and stay at the Riviera. We got tired of waiting for his ass and kept bailing on him. He spent over double what he saved on the room in cab fares cause he didn't split cabs with us (off strip) or had to cab to wherever we were. He tried walking once to meet us at the Miracle Mile and never tried again. This was in summer.

Truth.

You REALLY need to use Google Maps and look at where each hotel is. Yes it is closer. But its like saying "Hey, I just upgraded my Mcdonald's Hamburger to a McDonald's Cheeseburger". Both hotels are essentially OFF the strip.

IMO, the Strip is from the Wynn to MGM. If you are not staying somewhere in between get ready for 30 minute walks or $10-15 Cab rides to anywhere. I've never heard anyone using the paid monorail lol!

You ask for everyone's opinion and then you do the opposite!:fulloffuck:

:suspicious: you will regret staying anywhere outside the boundary of Wynn-MGM.

Vegas has close to nothing outside that boundary, I wouldn't walk at night in those streets/roads.

Might as well stay further off-strip to save more money and rent a car. Parking is free everywhere.

fliptuner 01-25-2012 10:57 AM

Dude, I posted a map for you on the last page, Did you even look at it? Each hotel is on a huge lot and you don't just walk in through the front entrance off the street. There are a ton of overpasses, escalators, pathways and breezeways to navigate through. It's not going to take 10-15 minutes to walk from the Riv to the Bellagio, if that's what you're thinking.

Here, Google is your friend: http://cheaplasvegas.cc/distance_fro...a_to_bellagio/

I've been to Vegas so many times and the first time I saw what the monorail looks like was on an episode of CSI.
:awwyeah:

QFT from almost everyone above, Stratosphere and Riviera are NOT walking distance. Not by a long shot. Good luck with that, the money you save on the hotel will more than cost you on the cab fare + the inconvenience of getting to and from the strip + time lost.

:seriously:

Come on dude. People are trying to help you out here and save you time and money.

You not only not listen, but you don't even do some basic research.

BlackZRoadster 01-25-2012 05:46 PM

I stayed at the Aria, and still ended up cabbing everywhere lol.

Thats b/c i went with my fiance, or else i'd walk everywhere :ilied:

PornMaster 01-25-2012 08:07 PM

vdara or aria guys quick!

Obsideon 01-25-2012 08:24 PM

Vdara doesn't have a casino in the hotel, if that's your thing. The rooms are more suite-like with kitchenette's and stuff, good for families.
Aria... smells awesome, the casino and lobby smells like flowers and perfume lol ... rooms are nice, very techy feel to it, but glitchy, I think I broke the automatic drapes the last day I checked out ... ... the hotel itself is huge though, make sure you don't get a room at the ENDS of the hallway ... it's a good 15min walk from the room to the lobby! So it's down to your personal preference!

PornMaster 01-25-2012 08:32 PM

well I originally wanted to go vdara because I love to gamble, so I can't just sneak down and start playing some baccarat or poker.

Gf wants Aria because its "NEW" and the "BEST"

fliptuner 01-25-2012 08:39 PM

I actually like the Mandarin better than Aria but moot point since there's no casino there either. I'd say go to Aria, Venetian or Wynn. The rooms at Mirage are pretty cool after the renovation but probably not for your GF.

PornMaster 01-25-2012 10:02 PM

trying to book with expedia and it keeps fucking up saying price has changed but it hasnt!

Did you end up using priceline?

Aria is very nice. But the casino minimum bets are too high. For the 3 nights stay, I walked to NY NY for $5 blackjack. Lol

No not yet, I've been trying to bid on PriceLine with adding zones accordingly for 5* but I keep getting shot down, the prices are getting ridiculously high!... I'm already at $174 for any 5* on the strip and still getting rejected ... I don't think I'm gonna go any higher... tonight I might just start from scratch and bid for 4* now ... but I'm worried I'll end up at Treasure Island again :heckno:

miss_crayon 01-26-2012 01:40 PM

Still sticking to Caesars Palace. Central on the strip, PURE, rooms are kept in good order considering it's older, forum shops, WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE?! And plus, they're real good on giving free upgrades.

PornMaster 01-26-2012 01:53 PM

booked for Vdara 843 flying from vancouver

If anyone willing to fly from bellingham, the vietnamese places on kingsway can get a deal 670 for 4 nights at vdara as well

What dates are you looking for? $174 a night is too high. Maybe Aria has opted out of Priceline, so there are no 5* available.

PornMaster 01-27-2012 07:42 PM

I was looking for prepaid plans in the US because fido US addons are retarded.

I saw Virgin mobile 200 minutes and unlimited text data and stuff for $35
10 cents a minute long distance to Canada.

Any really good prepaid plans for the trip?
