2 from this DJ event thing that I went to last night! First one ended up pretty cool, a flash fired somewhere exactly when I released the shutter so it ended up lighting it up pretty nicely. After I took it I didn't know what happened cause then my flash was off and I was trying to figure it how on earth it turned on. But then yea I realized it was someone else's flash.

nice rainbows!

So today I got a tablet, the Wacom Bamboo. Used my gf's for a couple hours cause I needed to draw(i'm a terrible drawer lols) stuff for a video game. Decided to get my own cause I knew I'd eventually put it to a lot more use once I start editing and touching up more photos.

That's all for now. School's keeping me real busy so I haven't been able to go out and shoot in a while now :( Hopefully this weekend I'll go take some shots!

^^ Good stuff. I have a Wacom Intuos 4 medium size myself - it took me about 2 weeks to get used to using it.

the bamboo's awesome for photo editing, it's small and you dont have to move ur hand so much. For drawing though, i'd recommend an Intuos.. u'll get so much more control and precision.

I think the difference is in the pressure sensitivity.
Some people feel that they need a higher range of sensitivity to control brush strokes and what not.

I'd personally opt for the Bamboo as well though.

it is. but you dont need all that pressure sensitivity for photo editing. Thats why i mean intuos is better for digital painting.

For photos, i like the smaller size and also the bamboo is more than enough sensitivity for photos. Plus it's only $60 instead of $400.

intuos also has a small size but it's still more than double the bamboo.

intuos' pen feels alot more comfortable though.

ya, with the large intuos, i had to pivot my arm. with the bamboo i pretty much just move my wrists. It's a PIA to drag stuff on the intuos, and after a while your arm gets tired.

The look of the water kind of reminds me of Crater Lake.

Where was this? Very nice capture Colin.

ColinK 09-17-2010 04:01 PM

Thanks!

I don't remember where I was when I took the picture (about 10 months ago). But based on the view, either McKinley Landing or Okanagan Center 10-20 minutes north of Kelowna.
