Went for a walk with my sister and my niece. She's 3.5 weeks old :)

That 300 2.8 is a sweet lens! Congrat's! Nice photo too!

At first I thought the size and weight might be an issue, but I got used to it just as fast as the 70-200 2.8 IS, and its not a problem at all now even at 8lbs lens and body.

I'd love to try it out sometime, if your interested in trying out the 500mm F4L sometime :)

Here's my first attempt at this stuff, please feel free to pick apart/dissect my stuff, I'd like/need all the tips I can get since this is my first shot at using anything that takes nicer pictures than a waterproof point and shoot pentax (I know the lens needs a little cleanup :p) Any tips for post-production adjustments would be appreciated as well, never done much with photoshop/GIMP

That's a great photo Jason! I like the composition of it! Great colors too. Everything looks so blue, maybe its just my monitor. Also, maybe some more contrast. Bad bad ass setup that is!

must organize another walk...so I can check out the Hasselblad ;)

Thanks. Yup, everything is blue - it's the light. Notice the white band on the bicyclist's pants is perfectly white.

Hmm 500mm, sounds interesting. Too bad I rarely get to Vancouver cause i think that could be a good time.
