If you don't want to flash your DS, then yes, you'll need one.

Just get it flashed like me and stick in a real game to fill in the slot. works the same. just voids your warranty but you can just reflash it and it will be fine if you happen to find a dead pixel or something.

I can flash your DS for 10 dollars, save yourself 15 dollars =]

so if i just get a supercard and get bennyboy to flash the ds lite.. the ds lite will be all set right?

Yup, you just need any plain MicroSD card and you're set.

Wooo, just got Gyakuten Saiban part 2, aka Phoenix Wright: Justice for all. Kept getting the white screen error, had to mess around with the settings to get it to work.

Yeah, I know about that site. The game was released Oct26 in Japan and when I got it, it wasn't posted on the site yet, so I spent a few mins fooling around and got it to work.

Heh, that's cool... For most of the newer games, the Restart, Trim, and FGP modes seem to be the default...

And if those don't work by themselves, then you use the Patch Cartridge Access option and it should work... Not that much exploring or tinkering with the settings to do eh :P

I just got my NDS last month. Tetris is amazing fun on it. Brings back a lot of old memories of the original. Very fun to play in multiplayer as well.

Is anyone selling the DS-X locally and how much? It costs like ~$20 more than flashing + SuperCard Lite + 512mb microSD so might as well go for the all in one solution right?

True, but most people want around 1GB of space, since with 512MB, you can only fit games, no room for movies, MP3s, etc.

Yeah I already have 512mb on my cell phone (and I always have that with me) so I don't see myself using the DS for music/movies anyways.

Just wait for the next gen supercard, they are working on a slot 1 solution that uses microsd.... then you can have your 1gb just like a ds-x ;)
