If so, sweet!

flameboy54 09-27-2006 11:15 PM

BennyBoy, or anybody, I just got my M3 Lite through the mail a few days ago, and I just want to know a little bit how to patch roms, videos.

Maxconsole Forums and M3lite forums all know how to, but whenever they try to tell me, it just doesn't make any sense =\

Can anyone help me stepbystep on how to patch roms and transfer them onto my microSD card?

Just let me know anytime next week, becasue that's when the UltraII Sandisk 1GB MicroSD is coming through the mail ^-^ (Ncix)

mmmkay 09-29-2006 08:33 AM

for patching roms it's pretty straightforward.

Obtain your unpatched ROM
Use patching software for your adapter to patch unpatched ROM.
Copy resulting files to your microSD card.

Your microSD probably comes with a little adapter so you can plug it into a normal SD card slot. You'll need an SD card reader if you don't already have one.

Nintensity 09-29-2006 09:11 AM

I'll check it out later on next weeek once i get my Micro SD.

Also, what should i avoid doing so i don't break/brick my M3 lite?

One more: How do you update the m3 too? I've heard of Fat32 or something, how would that work?

trip 09-29-2006 02:54 PM

i cant find a micro sd anywhere.. all sold out
futureshop is like 90$

flameboy54 09-29-2006 06:29 PM

^ compc at crystal mall has micro sd (sandisk 1gb) for $55. lower floor where all the rest of the computer shops are.

flameboy54 09-29-2006 06:30 PM

anyone get beup 0.3 rev 2 running? i get the opening page and it requests for ssid, ip, sn, and gw. should it be trying to connect via custom or firmware?

Grandmaster TSE 09-29-2006 07:01 PM

to update your m3, all you gotta do is drag the update file into your sd card and turn on the DS

Razor Ramon HG 09-29-2006 07:02 PM

Firmware.

Which flash cart do you have?

Check the original post, it has my guide I wrote for BatchDPG :)

Nintensity 09-29-2006 08:23 PM

Haha, thanks benny Boy, in fact, patching roms are very easy once you update the M3 and refer to the m3 wiki guide for the roms

Now, I need help with the save files, everytime i boot the m3 up, the game i previously played comes on to the display, and says that it cannnot find the NDS save file (before the main screen), and i did fiddle around with it; everytime i reset, it doesn't save at all, therefore i have to start all over again.

One more thing, could someone send me the latest Moonshell version over?

my msn is n.louie@hotmail.com

need help!

THANK YOU

Razor Ramon HG 09-30-2006 04:54 PM

Aren't they out of stock?

By the way, I bought them when they were 49 bucks and back at the shady E.36th apartment, and they turned out to be fake. I only got the MicroSD card and the SD adapter. You might want to check if they are in fact fake. If they are fake, you should be able to rub off the writing on the front side of the MicroSD like I was able to.

trip 09-30-2006 05:05 PM

are there any other ways to find out if they are fake ?

Razor Ramon HG 09-30-2006 06:28 PM

If it doesn't contain packaging, and it rubs off, it's most definately fake.

Also, you can also look at the labels on the MicroSD.

Nintensity 10-01-2006 08:03 AM
