Going to get a DS Lite soon and planning to go for a Supercard Lite... is that a good choice or is there soemthing better that you guys would recommend? Oh and would you guys recommend flashing the DS Lite or getting a no pass device? Like... can the flashed firmware become outdated or anything?

Grandmaster TSE 08-18-2006 12:57 AM

I'm also getting a SC-Lite once I sell off my old EZ4.

Razor Ramon HG 08-18-2006 10:39 AM

I wrote a guide for watching movies and shows with Moonshell. It's linked in the original post.

Rhetorical 08-18-2006 12:47 PM

^thanks for the guide benny. i got moonshell up and running, and it's not so great for live video. it can be choppy sometimes, even freezing completely (the sound continues, but the video pauses). i find touching the touchscreen seems to help get the video going again. it's not the best (youtube-ish quality), but it gets the job done.

Razor Ramon HG 08-18-2006 12:54 PM

Yes, but for animation, I have actually got it running so smooth, without choppyness.

Perhaps the framerate or bitrates are too high on your clips. Did you switch dithering and gopskip to 0?

If you watch animation, I recommend opening up global.ini in the shell folder of Moonshell and setting AdaptiveDelayControl to 0, however some movies will be out of sync ( Family Guy and South Park doesn't, however )

I'm testing new settings with Final Fantasy VII Advent Children and That 70's Show. I'll post my results.

Use your fingernails or tweezers? Do you actually really have to open up the damn thing? If so, I might go get a Supercard Lite as there's no slowdowns on anything especially the Castlevania intro!

just get a higher rated flash card

i have the regular supercard SD w/ a 133x ocz SD card

no lags at all w/ castlevania.

Razor Ramon HG 08-20-2006 11:25 AM

Yeah, but I want something flush.

Supercard Lite is perfect with even normal MicroSDs, haha.

I sent Will and Andrew copies, and U = USA.

Rhetorical 08-20-2006 07:40 PM

U = USA
E= Europe
J = Japanese
I = Italy

Those are the ones I've seen so far.

lol... You're getting games for free. Charging it every 3 nights is not very painful.

Rhetorical 08-21-2006 11:55 AM

^what he said

Razor Ramon HG 08-21-2006 11:58 AM

Oh yeah Steve, make sure you don't use up all the battery juice.

If you do, it's considered a deep charge or something like that and it's bad for the battery.

Always save, turn off and charge, once you hit red battery.

your client might be causing the problem? try reverting to a older client. Also maybe your internal battery for your rom is dead?

Damn, the new freedom fighters/ tenchu rom I downloaded isnt clean. Anyone got hookups for it??

Razor Ramon HG 08-21-2006 09:49 PM

I'll send em to you on MSN after, lol
