where do you boys buy your watches? online? i need some ideas for an anniversary present for hubby but i'm nearly clueless about watches. the last one i got him was a movado but it's more simple and elegant so he's been wanting an everyday more casual ones. leather band, intricate little details which to me looks like a complicated and tiny compass. lol. what brands would you guys recommend? thanks in advance for the help!

^
depends what you're looking for. like a real watch, where the mechanics, and build actually matter?

or just a cheap fashionable meh watch like fossil or diesel or some shit?

depends, some guys, a watch is a watch, it's just gotta look good, and not have any depth.

some guys treat watches like cars. the build, the history, the mechanics, everything about it matters. it's one of the few pieces of jewelery all men can wear without being judged.

rogue0716 05-05-2010 01:46 PM

^ he definitely likes quality and treats any gadgets like a well-loved car. teh appearance is second to him. i was thinking of a Tissot? i just have no idea where to pick them up.

I sold it a while ago. I'm pretty easy on my watches, typically only desk diving scratches on clasp but ya, the hessonite does scratch pretty easy.

Ann Louise is an authorized Tissot dealer. However, I find their prices kinda high. If you're a member, try Costco as they have some nice Men's Tissot watches sometimes for a about $50-$100 Less than an authorized dealer.

^Keep in mind prices are negotiable at a dealer though. Can't haggle for price at Costco. I've gotten up to 40% off watches before

And it cost nowhere near the retardedly overpriced customized ones like the one you see above in Kimosabe's post.
Its essentially the same thing, but without the retarded price tag of one done by Bamford and Sons or Pro-Hunter.

That looks sick dude! I was obsessed for awhile with the Sea Dweller Deep Sea and getting it DLC'd but my friends think it's too big for my wrist. Where did you get the DLC done and how much did it come to?
