^LOL, i was actually looking for a datejust since its more dressy and goes with her style.

Shes not sporty type and i thought she wouldnt like the GMT, but turns out she prefers it over the older looking datejust.

Wow 15% off is awesome. For sure i am in. Which one are you getting next? The bull project zero one is hot... I love it. I want to get all black Combat

TalonTurbo 02-09-2011 04:13 PM

I'm interested in the projek zero one.

I have a friend who wants the LZ8. So, if you're down for the combat - we've got 3 already.

Just need one more person.

Just stumbled upon these.. I like the simplicity. What do you guys think?

^not a fan of the white face, looks cheap and the white hands probably don't read so well/quickly under the sun. thing with those I found on their website is that the rubber doesn't have very clean edges, that drives me crazy if that were my watch. ~$40 I guess you could give it a try, kinda like the dark grey myself

insomniac 02-27-2011 10:02 AM

Where can you get those o clocks locally?
Says they don't ship to Canada ;__;

Hmm, yeah, I kinda saw some more pics and apparently the edges aren't very clean.. But other than that I really like the simplicity, but I guess that's all it really has going for it, haha.

On the topic of watches, I have to get mine serviced.
Any recommendations on places to get servicing done?
Its a Tag Heuer aquaracer auto and the bezel is getting kinda stuck. I think theres a bunch of dirt in it or something.

I bought it in Edmonton, so I cant go back there right now to get it done.

I got a black one from www.karmaloop.com, $36 + 20% off + free shipping, so wasn't too bad.

Very good quality. Clean straight edges.

The thing is, black attracts A LOT of dust.. so get a diff color.

I admit I bought it because silver watches no longer go with my new tattoo ;)

Update after 1 year: The battery really sucks on this, and if you can't put it out in the sun regularly, it will always be stuck on "Low" until it eventually dies. I think the sensors drain the battery too quickly.

MindBomber 02-28-2011 08:28 AM

I like them, for $36 its a fun novelty piece to wear once and awhile so quality wouldn't be a huge concern for me. Colour is in, especially with spring and summer approaching, I'm definitely going to order one.

lol my friend just got that watch. seriously funny watch. half the time she can't tell what time it is. :) You can even take the watch out of the rubber band. For the price, go for it.

maybe it's just because it's not as clear as the clock on the oven :fullofwin:

it's NOT cheap and the reason why it has a glow is because they have some type of chemical " (tritium) and it gives off a steady stream of electrons due to beta decay. These particles excite the phosphor, causing it to emit a low, steady glow. "
they say it will only last for 25 yrs... so it'll be like 20 years... i really want to see one in person.

If you really want a watch that glows bright at night, you should look into Ball watch

That's a great idea, i didn't really notice Ball even though I'm a huge scuba diving fan. the prices are extremely expensive so I never looked again.

You're right, it's also glow in the dark gases, but I don't like Ball because they put so much on a watch and it's extremely "busy" with stuff crowded on it.

thx for the heads up, i'm looking into it now.
