FYI, that Zenith is discontinued. Ever since Dufour took over from Nataf, Zenith has gone away from the more interesting designs, which is a shame as it was Nataf's designs that drew me to the brand (I have a Zenith Defy Classic Elite PR and a Chronomaster Open Grande Date XXT). Perrelet has some nice designs, and their customer service is top notch. My wife has the Diamond Flower. I was looking at the turbine too, but in the end, was a little too gimmicky for me and ended up getting the Rattrapante split-seconds chrono instead. Still, it's a nice looking watch. However, Perrelet's retail prices are very high, and you can find them HIGHLY discounted (70% off) on the gray market.

Also, something to consider when buying multiple watches, is the cost of servicing. I didn't really think about it at the time when I bought my watches. One of my Zenith is undergoing a full overhaul and service costs $550. They usually recommend service intervals ~ every 5 years, although I know some people will service only when the watch starts to malfunction.

your friend looking for used watches?

if he's looking for new online jomashop.com is good.

But with some haggling, you can get about the same deal here at local Rolex dealers. I have had bought 2 rolex in the last year, and my price was on par with joamshop with no shipping and full warranty.

Well i could buy the zenith xtreme from ebay, there's still few which are available, however they might not be there anymore when i'm ready to buy it..

this is my next pickup, but it's got a fairly large crown at 46mm and my wrist only measures 6" so I don't know how it would look. Got any wrist shots?

hey guys
so i recently got into watches and am looking for a nicer watch for myself
only one have atm is a Guess *diver type* watch
the ones that i have seen so far and really like is the Seiko SKP333
any recommendations?

notjustforshow 09-18-2011 11:17 PM

crappy pic of my latest watch in the strap box. a few years old, i could only afford it second hand, and not as stylish as the other models. however, i've been hunting for a tritium watch for awhile.

^ agreed, but I find the premium JDM only Seiko/Citizen watches can command over $1000 easily so this isn't a stretch.

The titanium "tuna" is ~$3000 MSRP. Sure it's a dive watch but there are a lot of 2nd hand options out there for $3000 that can hold value better (Omega PO!!!!)

Seiko Prospex SBDX011 1000M auto Diver

I do know the Tuna does sell out quite quickly and is highly collectible in the sub $1000 market for older ones.

TalonTurbo 09-19-2011 11:40 AM

love busy watches, this one looks awsome!

It looks awesome and it keeps time by utilizing sattelites! Plus it's limited. I think the price is pretty justifiable for what it offers.
