Why would Oregon be cheaper ? Once you declare at border it work out to the same taxes.

I bought both by cash at different times from lugaro and MC.

You won't get 50% off a new Rolex anywhere. Maybe other brands yes

I bought my previous Omega Planet Ocean for a little over $2k on orange band in Oregon, and an Oris Titan C Small seconds for $800 on a different trip.

I dunno, seems like a better deal than what I was offered in Seattle. Yes, there are pretty slim discounts for Rolex of course, but my Milgauss GV was about $2k cheaper at the AD in the USA.

those are pretty good prices then!
i know the omega PO 45.5mm sells for around 4k-4500 here in several ADs.
wow now you got me thinking of getting another PO :D

Omega PO #1 next on my list :D

moky 08-12-2011 07:02 AM

already have a gen1 PO so this is the specific version of the next PO that I want to get:D
titanium casing, "liquidmetal" bezel.

notjustforshow 08-12-2011 10:27 AM

Yes do not buy a PO since the new liquid metal is the new hotness. This is why I sold mine a few days after it was announced at basil

moky 08-12-2011 10:44 AM

gonna check out the omega boutique today if i have time. i just want to fit it :D
i've read a lot that it increased in thickness, but still fits like a glove! their new integrated rubber deployment strap is really gorgeous too!

notjustforshow 08-12-2011 01:14 PM

I'm wondering how limited the PO Liquid Metal really is. The ceramic bezel is something I believe every diver should have, though it may be limited to the more upscale models. My orange one was aluminum from what I recall, which was another selling point (for me to sell it that is!).

I might pick one up when they start showing up used and cheaper in a few years :-P

BlackZRoadster 08-12-2011 04:56 PM

Ceramic is beautiful for the bezel

Hey guys I'm new on watches. I want to purchase my first watch.
Budget is around $150-$300.

Where is the best/cheapest place to buy one? Online? States? The Bay?

PJ 08-17-2011 08:03 AM

For that budget, States is usually cheaper.

i m sure you have a brand in mind, but be sure to check out seiko, they are def legit!

Jackygor 08-17-2011 11:39 AM

K guys I need some advice, first I need a watch that would look good form teaching, around 400 bucks, no fashion watches and can buy locally. I was looking at citizen Eco drive or some seiko.

Jacky, citizen eco drive is very classy. I'm actually looking to buy a watch as well. Definitely seiko, it is economical!

I love Seiko, but Eco-drive looks more professional and classy.

I was thinking about picking up this watch soon. What are your thought?
