opinions on these two watches? and swatch brand in general? http://www.sunnywatches.com/media/Sw...ue%20Rebel.jpg http://p.alejka.pl/i2/p_new/00/10/sw...k-suit_0_b.jpg |
I think the green/black one looks kinda cool. IMO, Swatch makes well-priced fun watches. The Swatch group owns a few luxury brands and also owns the company that makes all the swiss ETA movements. But nothing special about Swatch brand watches, well with the exception of this one :p http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j5...9/D20_9318.jpg |
Almost 10 years back, when I was still in high school, I would wear my grandfather's Seiko watch during my exams. He would let me wear it for months at at a time and to me, at the age of 15, 16, 17, it was the nicest watch I had ever seen. My grandfather was a professor and one of his students had gifted him the Seiko watch many years after he stopped teaching. A few years back, my grandfather passed away in a car accident and I always wanted his watch as a memory token of him. Unfortunately, my uncle took the watch as a keepsake not knowing how much it meant to me. Obviously I didn't want to ask for it and he lives in England. Many years later, I managed to find one just like and as of last week, I purchased a brand new one. http://image.rakuten.co.jp/onemore/c...snd495pc-b.jpg http://www.strapya-world.com/keitai/268-snd495p-2.jpeg I can't wait till it arrives! |
so finnaly my quest for a watch started, and i don't know where to start this is what i'm looking at right now http://imgs.inkfrog.com/pix/yeyongqun2010/W003-5.jpg |
^ i bet the watch probably means more to your uncle than you. Afterall it was his Dad. |

I was in England last year and I saw the watch at my uncle's house and it was just sitting on a table, scuffed up, in far worse condition that I remember it. Regardless, at the end of the day, we both get to have the watch so it worked out. |

One of my first watches I had. Timex Ironman. I can't exactly remember which model as I was just a kid when my Mother purchased it for me. This one with a fabric strap, lol. Since then I have never worn a watch. I think its finally time to invest in a really nice one and a ton of you guys have them. Just not exactly sure which watch to go for! http://horologyzone.com/watch-refere...onman-1997.jpg |
^^^ those were the days, i remember they were pretty pimp watches back when i was in elementary |

Narrowed it to 3 watches, which one do you guys think is nicer? http://i989.photobucket.com/albums/a...1/_CSC0156.jpg or http://i685.photobucket.com/albums/v...n/P7117908.jpg or http://img.auctiva.com/imgdata/1/3/6...53997283_o.jpg |
neither. i'd spend a bit more on a more reputable brand. |
I don't really want to go over my budget, and i'm not spending over $1000 on a watch at the moment |
you need a budget to start with |
What's your budget? In the sub $500 range, I would suggest Seiko, Esquire, Tissot or Citizen. |
