i find 45 to be huge. i'd go 42 which is still reasonably big.

Just some advice, it could help possibly, if you see a model you like, take a picture or find a out the model number since you can save about 50-100 bucks buying else where, namely online.

I believe they, the store in oakrisge across rodeo, were offering the seiko skx007 for like 300. but then again with discounts and all...i reckon still probably cheaper to get online.

Awesome mod.
Sapphire upgrade and triple grip bezel surely make it pop.
If you had put in a set of MM300 hands than it would have been perfect!
Nonetheless Sumo hands are cool too.

Thanks its an awesome watch that ill keep forever.
I think the shape of the MM hands don't flow as nice as the sumo hands. MM hands too boxy, it fits with the MM face because dials are boxy too.
Also i like the extra detail of the line in the sumo 'hour' hand

So I picked up my Hexa K500 from the states yesterday.
Love it so far, I mean I REALLY like the bracelet and the awesome clasp but it actually looks quite good on the factory rubber strap too. It's easily the best factory rubber strap out of all the micros that I've had. Very thick but not hard, nice vanilla scent to it, feels very similar to the ISOFRANE straps that I have but with a smooth and clean design.

Oh and I also find it's very very easy to tell time with clean dial and hands.

this one caught my attention while looking through the sites u guys recommend, but im not sure how durable the black plating is, i mean there will be wear n tear on it eventually, but if i try to polish the scratches on the band down the road, will i polish off the black plating? im very very close to pulling the trigger on this watch

if you're going to getone, don't get theones from ebay. don't get the ones that only go in circles, you need something better for a decent watch, just FYI. good luck.

I've got the SKA389 and I believe they share similar coating. I've had mine for a year now and the usual desk diving scuffs on the clasp but it's been real durable. The coat does come off if you scuff it enough.

Hey guys, I got a Seiko 5 #7S26-3040 that my cousin gave me. It's got a scratch/crack on the screen (can't tell, but it looks deep). I'm kind of new to watches and wanted to know if theres a place locally or online to purchase a new crystal. Also, what else can I do to this watch or Seiko's in general?

kkttsang 03-04-2013 09:19 PM

Does anyone know any local watch shops that sells leather straps, i want to be able to see and feel it before buying it, so ebay is out. anyideas?
