If you're looking for a more affordable atomic radio controlled watch, Oceanus makes some nice ones for ~$500

Not a fan of lum-tec, but that phantom is a good looking watch!

For some reason Lum Tec is growing on me

Not stock leather strap. The stock one is leather but different material. crocodile leather iirc.

PJ 09-20-2011 09:53 PM

Damn I want that strap for my diver..

The CF-look?

Panerai Watch Straps, Panerai Watch Bands, Quality Watch Straps & Bands

just find the lug to lug measurement of your strap and it should be $29.00

panatime has good straps for the money, and I would hesitate to go cheaper.

My favorite dive strap though is

https://teddy-straps.3dcartstores.co...trap_p_24.html

Rocking that on my Panerai Diver right now :-P

PJ 09-20-2011 10:20 PM

Wow there's some nice stuff on that site.
DAMN if only they had green stitching for the CF!

I already ordered a black leather strap for my Rolex Sub.. I'll see how that turns out first.
I think I've officially lost interest in metal.

Try a Nato strap (~$20). Rolex + black/grey nato stripe is hot!

You can probably check the Ted Su link I posted and email him. They may be able to do green stitch / black nylon which would look GREAT on a Rolex LV. Ted Su nylon diver straps have a kevlar/carbon look to them.

you can also order a "sailcloth" strap from bradystraps.com
Bradystraps.com
"waterproof" leather with a sailcloth embossed pattern, looks like the BP Fifty Fathoms or the IWC Top gun :)

I've always been a little on the fence about nato. I'll probably pick one up, if it's only $20.
Any pics of your Panerai?

Totally agree, both watches are amazing for the money new or used. I was worried that the tuna would wear big on my wrist, but with the hidden lugs it fits fine.

A page or so back in my "strap box"

It's a fairly old one since it uses tritium instead of luminova for lume. It is a 025 series A

Agree on the Nato, but they are so cheap and you won't feel bad wrecking them.

maxxxboost 09-21-2011 12:03 AM

Do you guys have tools to remove the straps and is there a universal tool?
There are a lot of nice watches/ straps in this page.
