what is the purpose of levelling up? do you get any cool items or unlock stuff? i haven't really played online much other than some co-op and i think i'm like level 8 or something...hahaha

lvling up gives you better weapons and perks online :thumbsup:

so the weapons and stuff is only applicable for online play i take it? or can you use this stuff on the solo-campaign mode?

ps - i'm almost finished Prince of Persia...i think the game is so so...only cuz it's not really challanging since you can't die...

try collecting all the light seeds, the game is easy but getting all 900 light seeds is fun. I like fighting the bosses and pulling out those big combo's too.

damn, there's 900?! i've just defeated the last of the 4 'bosses' and i'm off to the Temple. i think i've only collected 750~?

the chain combos are cool, but i hate trying to time the deflection to opens them up to start the combos...i suck.

I heard there's actually 1001 light seeds. I suck at the fighting, absolutely terrible.

really 1001 ? damn if thats true. I love the fighting. I wish there were enemies walking around that you could fight instead of just the mini bosses and the stage bosses. I think that would make the game so much better

my buddy has a hacked psp with god of war chains of olympus on it, any way I can copy it from his psp and onto my ps3 and play it or hook up the psp though the usb ports on the ps3 and play it from there on my tv ?

If anyone wants to try another media server on the ps3, this one is being developed by a guy who seems to update it quite often. He's also got .mkv files working on the fly. It's a small program and easy to setup with instructions on his site.

I installed it last night and so far so great. It only doesn't seem to work on a few of my personal dvd rips. Those same dvd rips work from the ps3 hard drive though.

i believe the last update for ps3 allows you to watch ALOT more videos from usb and burnt cd/dvds

tip: If your movies dont show up on ps3 then you dont have the right folder tree. Even if your movies dont work it will show up as Unreadable file

usually they don't show up unless i press triangle and go show all
then everything plays

if you dont know the media tree, just stick a pro duo card into the ps3 and it will create all the folders u need

but i think the PS3 can only read one more folder inside the root folder.

Example:

Video>Movies>movies here. The movies are displayed and viewable.

But i have Videos>TV Series>The Office>Season 1 etc ..i cant view anything that's inside the TV series folder. It would say no videos found.

This is on my external HDD..i havent tried it with other stuff. It ends up working when i take the video file from The Office folder and stick it right under the Video folder.

Can anyone give me a definitive answer on whether or not the 20gb PS3 has HDMI output? looking around I see it doesn't have a card reader or wireless (still has wired internet connection I think) but I am reading conflicting old info on the HDMI output. I found someone selling the console/all cables/1 controller/NHL (08 I think) for $250. Good deal?
