Xbox must come with 1 controller. additional controller is $15 TIV. Funny how DS Lite worth $40 + extra $50 bump which make DS Lite worth more than Xbox in trade in. :p

US is giving away $100 for console, but they do not bump $8 games to $25 for you. I'd rather do it here.

I upgraded my 360 Arcade Jasper (still under warranty) with 7 games ($60~70) gathered from Rogers Video and ~$50 on my edge card to slim last Saturday. IT IS NICE. :D

anyone buy xbox live subscriptions from ebay? wondering if they're legit, most sellers seem to have positive feedback but not sure if that is of any significance to whether its legit or not.

there are a lot of resellers on ebay. just do your research and make sure their feedback is legit (from real users) and recent and you should be good to go

still pretty hot while running games, about as hot as my ps3 slim 40/45nm.

DVD reading is improved, not as loud. Game installed to HD makes it silent except the starting up.

I still think it's not designed to stand up. the vent on the side (right on top of the CPU) of the case makes it prefect for heat to come out if it's horizontally placed.

I'm somewhat tempted to get one today given the $199 - $50 online or $50 GC in store for the 4gb. Just debating if it's worth it, but I don't think I will given how much I actually game.

I have seen some people pry out the HDD from the old xbox and put it into the new slim and it works. You might want to try it out too.

Bringing this thread back from the dead lol. Just started playing my xbox again after a long absence. Played the Halo Anniversary edition and now Im into gaming again. Started trying out Arcade demos and for the heck of it I tried Splinter Cell Conviction and I love it. Time to go find it in the discount bin. And probably gonna pickup Gears 3 on boxing day.

Got nothing better to do this winter. Motorcycle is put away, and snowboarding has become too expensive.
