I never understood the Halo fanboys and all the hype and shit they make up for this game.

ya just all this hype...its crazy...so i was expecting to be really really really really good, like 2-3 times better than Gears of war or sth along those lines

basically right from the foundation.. when Halo first came out, it was raved about how well an FPS game will play on consoles and this game benchmarked it

if Goldeneye was a new generation in console FPS, Halo success and made a new era from it

from there on, we all got hooked from the gameplay to the storyline..

and with such a dragged cliffhanger ending in Halo 2, alot of us cant wait...

but then different people have different opinions..

u can either jump to the bandwagon, or be one of the original fans of the series......... or not.

I really enjoyed Golden Eye 007 on N64 I think that was the first time I enjoy FPS gameplay in the early days in splitscreen mode.

halo does seem overhyped...there are tons of better fps out there

I totally loved that game when I first played it. That and Super Mario 64 were my favourite games.

tats wat i thought, but i was asking my gf today she was telling me she watch her bro play Halo 3, at the begining the graphics really isnt that amazing...but the u advance thru out the game the better the graphics it gets

Halo isnt overhyped or recognize as a good franchise for nothing.. and with 1.6 million people who pre ordered this game and the insane amount it sold the first day of release..

Gears of War and Halo are 2 completely different games despite the fact that all u do is "shoot things"

the storyline gets pretty epic.... dont give up on halo, frankly i gave up on the halo franchise the first time halo 2 came out back in '04..

then i picked up this game again once the 360 started supporting it through BC......... then i get hooked again....

i still have that system and game. Golden eye is the only reason i havn't sold the n64..hehe

yeah dont give up, the last 3 chapters are like super intense.

Try Legendary mode with 4ppl....cause single player is nearly impossible.

been thinking about geting a xbox 360, after playing halo 3 at my buddies house seems pretty fun so what are the best games out there? cause i tried transformers and i mean its fun bashing shit and doing some missions but what are the better games? Wanted to try forza but my buddy left it at his friends house so... anyways would you guys recommend getting a xbox 360? is it worth the money?

Xbox 360 is worth the money. Having xbox live is even better. But i would keep an eye out for holiday bundles coming out soon.

Plus the ability to try out demos on marketplace is an excellent feature.

but even better is if ur willing to give time to wait, usually FS/BB will throw in an extra game out of the holiday bundle


but that kinda depends or how lucky u can get

sometimes FS will throw an obscured 360 game that needs to be cleared out of their stock room ie fantastic four, transformers, viva pinata, GUN etc, or sometimes they will throw in a double A game like lost planet, fight night round 3, moto gp etc...

Fight Night Round 3 is a must have if you're a fan of fighting games. The graphics and controls in that game are excellent.

would it be better if i wait for the xbox 360 with the falcon? or should i risk getting the old one and get the rrod on the second day of play? haha

ur better off getting a falcon or zephyr model of 360

trust me, the RROD is a pain in the ass no matter how Microsoft may want to make u feel better by getting ur consol fix

i hav a dec '05 360 and i had the RROD beginning of sept.. just got my console back this past fri

although the new console they sent me has a slightly quieter fan, im still thinking of getting a new 360 elite

well that is once word got out that the new 360 models are indeed more reliable than the old ones...
