Apperently people don't like it when you post spoilers.

It's only a week ban, nothing to worry about

mc25 09-20-2007 03:29 PM

havn't had much time to play with it. I was going to take it to the matt good concert yesterday but I didn't want to risk having it "confiscated".

I'll get a real sesh going tommorow.

djm 09-21-2007 09:47 PM

Wedding shot with Nikon D3!

balla!!!! that is why im having a wedding in a traditional catholic church. Those photos are BEAUTIFUL!!!
nice work! :) I think they're all great.

ColinK 09-24-2007 05:51 PM

I dont think he took those, I think he shoots canon :p

those shots are really nice though, and I can't seem ANY noise in them, even at the really high iso settings! Impressive!

77civic1200 09-24-2007 10:40 PM

Anyone know a good place to get larger prints done? I bought a film camera last weekend and wanted to get a couple shots blown up but don't really know where to look. Also whats up with all the weird sizes? 35mm film has an aspect ration of 2:3 but most of the places I have found online don't have larger prints with the same aspect ratio? I don't really want to have to crop or stretch the image, I like it the way it is. Whats going on there?

ColinK 09-24-2007 11:14 PM

best place I know is Costco, super cheap! And they look great! biggest size is 11x17 I think

77civic1200 09-24-2007 11:23 PM

Ya I checked out their website and its says 12x18's are $2.99, which is super cheap, but it didn't mention anything about dropping off already developed film. It only mentions digital files. Do they even have a photo department? I thought there was just a pick-up section?

Senna4ever 09-25-2007 12:26 AM

Costco has full 35mm & digital services. You just have to be a member.

Dennis, you should've gone for the 24"!

I really wanted to try a Mac (by that I mean buying and OWNING one), but the thought of possibility hating the whole Mac interface and having to live with it until the next upgrade just scared me off... It's not like the Nikon/Canon thing where you won't lose too much money by switching camps and trying something different (which is what I did), espeically if you buy used gear with a lower margin for money lost during the migration.

one day, perhaps, I'll get a Mac and finally see the light and understand what it's all about... until then, I'll stick with my ugly PCs with much MUCH lower pricetags... lol

MikesJo 09-25-2007 05:31 PM

PCs tend to lose their value even before you buy them. Macs take a lot longer.

that is a fact my friend!

but the false is that mac's do things "faster" or "better" then pcs. It's just personal preference. I like pretty things, mac's satisfies that. However, my wallet doesnt like mac so much.

Senna4ever 09-25-2007 07:55 PM

I started to hate Macs with a passion during my tenure at CDIS. They crashed with reckless abandon while using PS on the G3 & G4's they had there. Maybe they're better now?

MikesJo 09-25-2007 09:23 PM

Much better probably :). OSX is great.
