If you want bad, you gotta go to Cambie and Broadway. There's a 24hr one there. Certain members on this board love it...I think the soup tastes off. They tell me it's an acquired taste.

Nvasion 04-05-2009 10:46 AM

that one on broadway/cambie i went there yesterday at about 2am and it was pretty packed... only 2 workers though, so i left because there was like 7 tables without food and the open tables were all filthy.

Vansterdam 04-05-2009 03:32 PM

^ what do you expect its a 24 hour joint + on a asturday when people are just leaving teh clubs and shit its bound to be packed n busy

Vansterdam 04-05-2009 03:34 PM

in the same complex/strip mall as richmond sushi/tapioca express.

pretty goood..$6.50 for a large. clear soup, didnt seem to be a lot of MSG.

went there on sunday. Not too bad, but it was hella busy.

bbbj 04-06-2009 09:50 PM

^ Is it the place that looks like you're in a boat or out at sea when you're in there?

I always thought that place was called Pho Thai Hoa? Maybe I'm wrong.

New place in richmond, very very clean. Very different feel. Kinda like a Ramen stand.

Foods different, not the usual MSG ridden place.

I suggest you guys try it out. The soup base is more basily tasting, and minimal to no msg.

+1, Nooch is good shit. They go light on the meat, though. But great atmosphere, decent prices and tasty food. The soup base is great, not too salty/MSG-y.

distanc3 04-15-2009 03:40 PM

went to "Vietnamese Restaurant" this morning

customer service is awesome, portion is average, level of MSG was quite low, large variety especially with appetizers, price is ~6.50 for a large pho

Overall its a good place, would recommend you guys to pay one visit. :)

That food looks amazing!!! You should definitely keep track of names of the restaurants so we can search them out if any RSers are in the area (i plan on going next year)!

Meowjin 04-16-2009 12:14 PM

i have all the names. These were just off my iphone

the bun bo hue is from hue... very famous do a google search on them

then sparrow salad is from hanoi in the old district accross from the train station... i think it's called pham ngu lock or something...

JL9000 04-16-2009 10:27 PM

Tried Pho Vinh today. The food was pretty good, but I found the soup to be a little too "sweet."

Are there any other pho joints in the Vancouver area that has clear soup with lots of onions? I miss Pho Thang Long. :(

Armind 04-16-2009 10:49 PM

Om Nom Nom Nom

monkeywrench 04-16-2009 11:58 PM

Anyone been to Thai Son in Richmond? The price is decent.. But the MSG level is low as it gets, plus the place is clean because it used to be a Japanese restaurant lol
