Heck if there was a great bowl of Pho out in Van, I wouldn't go that far either. PV is the best i've found in my area =P

What's this dish called?

Butter beef! It's really good, but just a bit on the tangy side.

This caught me by surprise as well. Then again, 20 posts by the same guy doesn't really count as hype. :D Both times I was there the place was pretty much empty. I guess that's how the lady gets time to keep the place spotless. I saw her wiping the crevices on the backs of the chairs. Seriously.

Same. When I was there, there were only 2 other tables.

The lady, who I pressume is the owner, is very nice. At the end, when I was paying she made small talk which I thought was nice. I've been to many pho joints and they never talk to you unless you're nammer.

PV FTW.

Anyone try PHO101 yet beside sushi town burnaby?

Armind 05-27-2009 09:28 PM

The owner of PV is the only guy there. :haha:

I think it's still empty cause not too many people know about that place yet, they just opened for a year and 2 months (I tried it out during the grand opening week).

iEatClams 08-02-2009 12:59 AM

thanks for all the suggestions, but can someone please recap the good places and their LOCATIONS!

Everyone posts about which place is good. But can someone actually give a location (like intersection) or whatever.

Armind 08-02-2009 01:01 AM

^ Best one in Surrey for me would be Pho Vinh.

Located on 100 & 152nd street. Inside the T&T plaza beside bubble world.

Razor Ramon HG 08-02-2009 01:01 AM

Any good Pho places that will deliver to Central Burnaby?

Jeffield 08-02-2009 07:40 PM

I think Thai Son takes the award... especially for their dried mixed seafood noodles :)

eat it not for the seafood but rather the noodles :)

IIRC it's Phnom Phen in Chinatown.

LC21 08-10-2009 11:16 AM

i heard pho tam near surrey central is pretty good as well.

bcrdukes 08-10-2009 11:38 AM

I went to Pho Tam and it was just okay at best. The turnoever is astromonically high so they sacrifice the quality in their food. It's a very "eat-pay-gtfo" type of restaurant.
