there is lots of oppurtunity over there If you know how to target tourists, you can become very very very rich. |
Phnom Penh is the best shit, their fried chicken wings and spring roll are the best in Vancouver. |
phnom penh went incridibly downhill. |
food looks good but dont really like those type of noodles, too soft |

Best pho in Richmond i've had so far. Best meaning consistant tasty, clean, good service etc http://members.shaw.ca/volvoman/inde...isepho%202.jpg http://members.shaw.ca/volvoman/inde...isepho%201.jpg Good broth, a bit too much MSG lately tho http://members.shaw.ca/volvoman/inde...isepho%203.jpg http://members.shaw.ca/volvoman/inde...isepho%204.jpg |
the broth is so dark :( at least the pho noodles actually look what I had in nam. In a ball, and not spread around like a soup. |
bao chau i think is the name on hastings right by pne is the best in my opinion. |
I like the place down the street a little bit better. Plus they have duck pho. |
Thai Hang is awesome, they have some speciality noodle soup dishes.. you guys should check it out.. i love their shredded pork salad rolls and their beef brisket noodle soup.. imo, Le Petit Saigon is much better than Bao Chau, and is much cleaner.. |

Pho Thai Hoa Quote:
Au Petit Cafe on 4851 Main has the best Vietnamese spring rolls in Vancouver. For pho, our favourite goes to Pho Thai Hoa (both on Kingsway and in Richmond). |
The best Vietnamese restaurant period is the one by Naimo and 1st Ave :D |
^ Soung Huong? It's okay at best. |
THOSE PICTURES MAKE ME SO HUNGRY!! Pho Lan in terms of my neighbourhood the best. |
Anyone know of a few places that serve very good bun bo hue? Prefably in the Vancouver area.. |
My vietnamese receptionist at my doctor recommended a place but i have yet to try it out. It's called Cafe Sua Hue on kingsway next to CDN tire. I think thats were alot of sketchy people hang out though, but I gotta check it out. |
Has anyone tried Pho Linh? I saw there ad in the papers at Thai Son and it had a picture of a vietnamese mom with captions beside it saying something like "if you don't like it you don't have to pay for it!" That was my first experience with Thai Son by the way, and I didn't enjoy their pho at all. The soup was luke warm, bland and easily overpowered by their spring rolls. |
Pho Linh and Song Huong are known best for their Dac Biet Bo 3 Mon/Bo 7 Mon. go with a few friends and try it. Bo La Lot is awesome at both places too. Pho Linh also does takeout for their Bo 3 Mon and the portions are very generous. probably even more so than eating in *hint hint* Quote:
as for the pho, i've found it a bit better than Thai Son. Thai son is a hit and miss at times, usually cause they're always busy during meal hours. less attention and care put into their dishes. |

Pho Ba Le in Hawaii. Hot as shit that day but was craving pho http://members.shaw.ca/volvoman/inde...od/hawaii1.JPG Apparently, Roberto Luongo works there too http://members.shaw.ca/volvoman/inde...od/hawaii2.JPG http://members.shaw.ca/volvoman/inde...od/hawaii4.JPG It actually wasn't bad. Soup was good, meat was good, noodles weren't too soggy. The beef balls tasted like chicken and was bleh. $9 for a large pho but when you're craving it, you gotta do what you gotta do. I wouldn't go there regularly if I lived there tho. |
Pho Vinh>All :D |
haha, gangsta hangout... but the food rocks! especially that fried chicken dish. i find they are more cambodian noodles than viet pho... but either way GOOD EATS! Quote:
